The first was a Louie Anderson stand-up called "Big Baby Boomer," I don't remember the last time I saw Louie Anderson in anything but it was surprisingly funny, it was all about the trials and tribulations of being old and fat and trying to get in shape, but the center of the piece was him talking about his angioplasty, which was REALLY funny ('the doctor said 'well, we're going to stick this wire up your groin...' 'Whoa, whoa... who's 'WE'!?'")

I have not seen Louie in years, no, make that decades. Last I remember even hearing about him was hosting some game show. But I do remember his stand-up. It was definitely centered around his physique. And I really enjoyed it.

That Outrage does sound interesting but more than likely would just pi ss me off. Listen, I can't stand politicians as is. But that kind of thinking would just boil my blood.

It was pretty good, I'd been meaning to watch it for a while.

I remember Louie Anderson hosting the Family Feud, but the only thing I actually REMEMBER of it was the MadTV parody where they portrayed him as sagging and wheezing and struggling to stay alive while going through the motions of hosting.  it was a little funny but pretty mean.

I think Louie Anderson is also on "Splash," which I'd never heard of until the other day and still can't believe it's an actual thing: celebrity diving competition.  WTF?

It's a pathetic attempt at entertainment and not at all surprising that it's another ABC production trying to capitalize on the Dancing With The Stars. I saw the show the other day with Nicole Eggert, dressed as "Wonder Woman". Embarrassing doesn't even begin to describe the show.

Too hot to stay on the porch outside but too light to go into my dark office, so I'm sitting in the living room and finally listening to the table read of the lost "Middleman" episode.  Works well with an audience, and Javi can really spiel out some quick words without slipping.

There's a documentary series from the Science Channel I found on Netflix called "Dark Matters, Twisted But True."  Hosted by John Noble from Fringe.  That's all I needed to hear.  It's about stuff like the Philadelphia Experiment and UFOs and currently, the Russian Ape-Men.  And I was already chuckling at how absurd this stuff is (even though in high school I drank this stuff up), but they just said the greatest line I've ever heard.  If you're familiar with Fringe, then imagine Walternate saying this completely straight, without ANY sense of irony or cheekiness:

"He inserts slices of monkey testicles into the men's scrotums."

I just want that cast to come back and do a little movie or something together.  Have John Noble play Anna Torv's father so they can use their aussie accents, play against type, that would be fun.

I still haven't seen the final season yet.  Should be online in a couple days if it streams on the same day it gets released on disc.

Finally watching Avatar: The Last Airbender since it's being booted off of Netflix (stupid contracts).  Cute, enjoyable series.  And I particularly like that the antagonists in the first season is Rufio from "Hook" and his mentor is Splinter from the Ninja Turtle movies.

Never seen it. Really don't know much about it other than the guys on TRS always bringing it up during conversations.

Show of the Year, I think it was.  I downloaded their review to check later.  Actually, I may check it out now.

You know, with Viacom and Netflix parting ways, I realize I won't get to see Legend of Korra either, and I'm growing keen on seeing that too.

And get this: the Emperor of the Fire Kingdom is Mark freakin' Hamill!  And I knew Aang sounded familiar, he was Pablo in Backyardigans (which was on TV after my morning classes in college so I always kept catching pieces of it, I remember the penguin having such a sweet voice).

I'm already into season two of Avatar.  Enjoying it quite a bit.  And I love that there are more Miyazaki-esque creatures as we go along.  And this current battle has some great Matrix/Crouching Tiger style to it (there's a cool martial arts battle in every episode).  And of course since Aang is a child and a bit of a pacifist, there's always a little Jackie Chan-esque comedic spin on the battles.
