Dragon Starring Donnie Yen, one of my all time favorite Asian/Martial arts actor, stars in Dragon. I was rather impressed with Dragon, for it's care and feeding of a very interesting story of a man with a horrible past trying to escape and lead a simple life. Only problem is, there are those who want him back. The fight scenes are spectacular and even more so here. Using a high speed camera and very smart investigator, they tear down the initial fight to a cellular level. Yes, cellular. It's cooler than it sounds. The scenery is just gorgeous. The actors do a great job of being very different and unique, but not so much to be silly. It had some fly by wire action, but not so much for me to hate it.
The fighting is not central, thus to me, suggesting you check it out for it's unfolding story. It is sub-titled and may put people off. I was OK with it, but for the first time, I did miss what was happening because I was reading. Had to rewind.
Anyway, fantastic Asian cinema.
