The Descendants We got to see another great film this week. Personally it was very emotional for me. I don't want to give anything away, but dayum this is a roller coaster of emotions and feelings running through this flick. Get through the first 30 minutes and then it really kicks in. This is one of those movies I am so glad I got to see, but doubt, uh maybe, ever watch again. Like I said, it hits to close to home.
Highly recommend checking The Descendants out.
The Dead Like vampires, Zombie flicks have eeked out every kind of iteration theme they can think of. The Dead is actually going back to the first ever zombies. I'm not talking George Romero. I'm talking White Zombie.
It doesn't get any simpler in the Dead. Everyone for the most part is dead and walking... slowly and this follows two men going from point A to Point B in Africa. Very little talking. People may be taken back by the very slow moving zombie perspective, but what makes this interesting is that tension builds and there SO MANY always around. There is no where to hide in the African country. Also, you start to realize really quick about handling your food, water and ammo.
I liked The Dead. It's not the high power, action packed that we've been use to in recent years, but it is very gory and bloody.
