Man, when that Career Opportunities logo came on for the first time I thought "that 'O' looks like the Target logo, that's weird."  Wouldn't have thought it would be so prominent in there.  When I read the plot description I thought it would be like a Harrods or Macy's multi-story type affair, in the city.  And I definitely didn't think the whole thing would happen on his first night.

John Hughes did seem to fall on the "different people stuck together" plot device a lot, didn't he? I guess if it works it works.
