Outbreak

Outbreak came out in 1995 when talk of pandemics and Ebola was on everyone's mind. Classic case of the Hollywood reflecting current times, and yes some could say cashing in. Outbreak is very different than the recent Contagion. Outbreak is very much Hollywood stars, over the top story telling and a ridiculous plot. But Dustin Hoffman and Morgan Freeman give it conflict and passion. Donald Sutherland and Cuba Gooding Jr are very good at being cartoonish. That's an OK thing. It fits in well to the story. I recommend it. It has a little bit of everything. Love, bad guys, the army, chase scenes and explosions. Perfectly mindless entertainment.

Kevin Spacey is a hoot as a red head.
