That bad huh? I haven't seen it and personally, I don't agree with 95% of what gets chosen as the winner for Best Picture.

Oh, I don't know about being bad. It just did not interest me in any way. The silence was deafening and the story just looked blah.

Not my cup of tea.

Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter

I remember hearing about this and just rolling my eyes. Then I saw the trailer and thought maybe, just maybe this could be good.

It's not. In my mind it's a real push for a mash-up. Hey, it's hip, it's unique... that has to make it good.

The production values are excellent. The sets are great, the action which by the way is fairly bloody, and the characters are somewhat believable. But what I'm not buying is the iconic figure of Lincoln battling vampyre's. They gave it a good go. Plenty going on, but seriously, even for a fantasy or horror or whatever they want to call it, it has it's major flaw. Why they stuck with Lincoln using a hatchet as a weapon, I felt, made it look silly. Did not buy into and after awhile I was watching the clock.

Seeking a Friend for the End of the World

The trailer is really a good representation of the movie. Depressing, slow and people saying and doing very dumb stuff. I can't believe any one would say and do the things these people are doing on the screen. Truly eye rolling stuff.

It's boring from the start, but we gave it 45 minutes. Gahhhhhhh, what crap

Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted

The Madagascar movies are pure pleasure for me. Love the characters, the animation is amazing. 3 is not nearly as good as 1 or 2, but since they are great, 3 is just a little below great. I would think they have exhausted the story lines now, but I could be wrong.

3 concentrating on joining a European traveling circus allowed a whole slew of new characters and they were fantastic. I think where they missed the mark is the peak circus show. It went all Fantasia on us and I found a little odd. The color and realism going completely psychedelic.

I highly recommend this if you like great animation with funny story telling. If the 3 ever come in a decent package, I wouldn't hesitate picking all 3 up for myself.

Resident Evil: Damnation

I really enjoyed Damnation. While the plot is lifted from other similar themes and other resident evil movies, it different enough to be part of the series. The motion capture animation is excellent. The facial features are absolutely amazing. They still have not mastered the zombie eyes though. This is non-stop action packed story telling. The camera angles are cool and bring this up to some of the best Hollywood action films. I felt the last few minutes really fell flat, but other than that, park your brain at the door and sit back and get into the action.

The Best Worst Movie

I love bad movies... sometimes and love what Mystery Science Theater 3000 has done with many of them. This is a documentary on one particular movie and the legions of fans and the actors and director from Troll 2. It was very light hearted. Not bad for a documentary.

I myself have never seen Troll 2. I may have to try to check it out sometime. This movie is by the child actor in the movie who is now in his 30's. George Hardy really glued this movie together with his presence.

Chillerama

Chillerama is supposed to be homage to the old drive in B-type horror movies. It’s a collection of 4 very different films wrapped within a story of a Drive-in theater closing. Taking notes from the Troma team, Chillerama tried to be gross, funny and lots of sex. It was definitely gross in a cartoonish kind of way. It was really just one joke for each film where only Wadzilla halfway succeeded. Little titillation. I enjoyed the first film Wadzilla with its goofy premise, bad special effects, horrible script, etc. It’s the 2nd feature where it takes a huge right turn and never gets back its fun. I was a teenage werebear was all about male homosexuality with singing and dancing and just completely ruins the film. The 3rd, Diary of Anne Frankenstein wanted to be fun, but it was with all sub-titles and that was just way to much work for a silly underworked film like this. The last film Defecation falls squarely on a Troma salute, but not funny or entertaining at all. Thankfully it’s interrupted by a zombie attack on the Drive-in and chaos erupts.

I really wanted to believe this had entertainment value, but unfortunately it does not. After the first 25 minutes, it just sinks from stupidity to uber stupidity. Look, I know it was all about B-movies and grind house, but this really stunk.
