Hit & Run Hit & Run is one of the more eclectic movies I’ve seen in quite some time. It’s stars, produced, written and directed by Dax Shepard. I believe it’s his first real big studio project. He did direct a Parenthood episode and a movie called A Brother’s Justice. It stars his wife Kristen Bell, Bradley Cooper, Tom Arnold, Beau Bridges, and even Joy Bryant (Parenthood’s Crosby’s wife) as a badass coupled with Bradley Cooper.
It’s eclectic in it has odd vibe about it. It’s not really a major motion picture. It feels like a TV movie. The editing has a lot to be desired. You will tilt your head slightly with a WTF. I counted 3 scenes that for me jumped the shark. Totally out of character, way too long, and just a big distraction. Possibly padding the movie.
Hit & Run is a very talky movie. Some of it is pretty good and naturally Dax’s character has some of the best lines. Tom Arnold’s character is just weird. Funny at times, but weird.
I was entertained for the most part, but doubt I’ll watch it again. It’s just was not that satisfying
