I really wasn't expecting to ever check out National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets at all. But since I'm still waiting on my DVD's to arrive at my Library, it was back to checking to see what was on the shelf and that's how I came to NT2. I really don't remember anything from the first one at all. I had to go back and read my review for National Treasure to see what I said, and I still don't remember any of it. But what I can say is that I did enjoy NT2 more than the first. I just think it had a lot to do with it tying into the Civil War, Abe Lincoln and Mount Rushmore. It was a fun ride trying to find the City Of Gold. But it does kind of run out of gas by the time they actually do find the city though, making this on par with the first movie.

I'm a sucker for these types of treasure hunts where elaborate booby traps are set to keep the mysterious location a secret. So, if you're a fan of movies like Raiders Of The Lost Ark or The Goonies, I think you may enjoy this one. Worth a Rent. I would definitely watch this again if I stumble across it channel surfing.

They played this movie on the plane I took to Paris years ago, so I appreciated that it reminded me to check out the Statue of Liberty in Paris.  It's pretty cool.
