Every year I find myself watching countless memorials or documentaries on 9/11. Today was somewhat different. I had always wondered if I would ever watch the events unfold in real time, which I haven't done since the day it happened. MSNBC played the Today Shows telecast with Katie Couric and Matt Lauer has they reported on what was happening. No edits. Just a 2 hour long telecast from the start of the first Tower being hit. They actually started the telecast at the exact moment it was 14 years ago, down to the minute so that it was literally 'real time'. It was surreal to be reliving this moment again in this way. As it is for most everyone else, this day still feels like it just happened yesterday. I'll never forget where I was, how I felt, not just that day, but the weeks and months that followed. All I hope is that those that lost family and friends have found some kind of peace. I know that is wishful thinking, but I do hope each day is a littler easier for them than the last one.
