All things Dance...
« on: January 20, 2013, 08:35:17 am »
If I have one regret, I wished I learned how to dance. I've had several opportunities and just did not follow up. Salsa by far my favorite, but I like most other styles of dancing. My wife and I use to watch Dancing with the Stars for all the great variety of styles. But like many other shows, it became something other than the dancing.

That said, by uncle sent me this... 2012 Junior II Champs - National Shag Dance
Kayla Henley & Jeremy Webb

Quote
Usually the "female" is featured, but here the "young man" steals the show- his legs are like liquid magic. And, bless her heart, she lets him shine.
He's 17 and she's only 15. But together, they won the 2012 Junior
Division National Carolina Shag Dancing Championships.

They're dancing to Joe Turner's "Flip, Flop and Fly."

The mesmerizing beauty of a thousand hand dance

Quote
These types of dances are an old tradition but they're always so mind tickling to see. The choreography is perfect and it's like seeing art in motion. This particular Thousand-Hand Guan Yin dance was performed by deaf dancers which makes the timing of it all even more incredible.

This is DAMN good. Everyone of them nails it with conviction. With that out of the way....I'm in love with the lead chick in the  third dance segment (the one with the yellow tank top). You can see her in the above Thumbnail Image. YUMMY!!!
