I've been a fan of KISS for most of my life and as a kid I grew up idolizing Gene. But over the last 20 years or so, he has really pushed me and countless other fans away because of his 'Holier than thou' attitude and feels the need to voice EVERY thought that comes into his mind. Not sure if you guys caught wind of his embarrassing comments regarding Prince's death as "Pathetic", but my initial response to Gene was for him to shut the f*ck up and stop moralizing his views on everyone else. It's one thing to have an opinion, but it's another thing to say that your opinion is the only one that matters. Paul Stanley did the only thing he could do and that was to apologize on Gene's behalf and he had every right to do so given that he is tied directly to Gene. Whatever he says is going to reflect on him and in this case....reflect poorly. Gene even said that once he made the comment that his own family reemed him. So I find it a bit hypocritical for Shannon Tweed to attack Paul for doing exactly what she did in private. So, both Gene and Shannon are the Douche of the Day, er, Week.....winners.
