And speaking of the Grammy's, let me say this about that.
I haven't been missing anything apparently. There were some gems and some unique pairings, that I thought worked decently for the most part. Most of it was show and I'm more about the music and singing. AC/DC, ELO... great surprises and entertaining. Annie Lennox definitely showed the young singers today how to really sing and mean it.
I think awards were buried in there somewhere. Then again, I don't care.
I was trying to determine who was lip synching. Don't know if any of what done.
But something that caught my attention was about the audience. I did not see one cell phone being held up or taking selfies. That struck, especially since I think it's all stupid, but one scene caught me where the camera was floating about past people and they weren't doing the pose and selfie crap. I'll bet there was a major rule on that.
And the depressing part was the audience clapping was faked. It was clearly evident when a performer ( I think Dwight Yoakam) was performing center stage in the middle of the audience. After the song closes, thunderous long applause. While the camera pulls back to a bit you can clearly see not one single person clapping. It was just so odd.
Yea, I doubt I'll attempt to watch any more award shows. They are just not my thing.
