Well, as it was brought up in the debate and why I swing against the Soda Ban, even though I'm content with just one can, is that Soda doesn't affect anyone other than the person drinking it. I was and still am for smoking bans, I use to get into arguments when people would light up around me and I'd tell them to either move or put the cig out.

Now, if somebody were to sit down next to me and start drinking a 32 oz Soda, I wouldn't even care because it wouldn't directly affect me. I just don't like the idea of a government that already is getting into people's business telling me what I can and can't eat (or drink). This could easily snowball into more excuses for the Government to get further into our own lives and I don't like it.

Having said all that, this ban isn't what it appears to be. It's being disguised as a health issue when in fact it's all about money. They want to get people to pay more for what they were already drinking in the 32 oz. cups by making them have to buy two 16 oz drinks.
