Dad straps 4 kids to car hood and drives away, police say

Time and time again, some people were never meant to be parents...

Quote
Last week, two Florida grandparents were accused of using their SUV to tow their granddaughter down the street in her toy car after they had a few drinks.

This week, a dad in Fort Wayne, Indiana, has been arrested after allegedly strapping four young children to the hood of his car after a liquor store stop.

The Journal Gazette of Fort Wayne reports that Aaron Stefanski told police: "I was only going to drive around the corner. I thought they would like it."

Stefanski, 29, was driving with his his 6-year-old daughter and 4-year-old and 5-year-old sons, along with Jessica Clark and her 7-year-old daughter, when they stopped at a liquor store on Monday afternoon, according to the Journal Gazette.

The store manager called 911 and reported that Stefanski used a tow strap to tie the children onto the hood of a large white vehicle and then took off down the street. A U.S. marshal heard the dispatch and stopped the car about three blocks from the store.

Fail, yes. But definitely in line with What the F*ck.

There's so much overlap with these stories. Which one do I pick?

Well, my initial reaction to reading it was What The F*ck more than Fail. Everyone sees the same thing differently.

Too funny. This comedy has been going on since, well, walking and texting. I agree, they get what they deserve.

Stupid law, but hey, they hit it on the head (no pun), it's for the money.

Could you be sued for texting with a driver? Experts say, 'maybe'

While this does get more complex than just texting in general, I fully understand this. Here at Boeing, they have made it very clear to stay clear of inappropriate material. For example, emailing jokes. And in particular the receiver of the jokes is just as liable and responsible as those who send. It is up to each individual to maintain ethical standards. In other words, its the receiver of the joke is responsible of telling the sender to knock it off.

In this case here, the only person responsible of picking up the phone to send or receive is yourself.

Quote
Could you be blamed for a car crash because you sent a text message?

A New Jersey judge will decide later this week if the sender of a text message might be partially liable for a horrific auto accident that occurred because the driver was reading that message on his cell phone and drifted into oncoming traffic.

With nearly half a million U.S. drivers injured in distracted driving-related accidents every year, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the judge’s decision could have wide-ranging impact in both the legal and digital realms.

While it might seem absurd to blame someone who isn't even in the car -- or anywhere near it -- for causing an accident, some legal experts say the plaintiff is on firmer ground than you might think.

But how am I suppose to know if the Driver is at the wheel? Why should I be sued if the other person fails to disclose what he/she is doing?

I rest my case.

Teen suspended for anti-bullying video with fake suicide

Fail.... on the schools part.

Granted, I don't know the schools position, but it certainly seems like a knee jerk reaction based on one parents complaint.

Until I know all the facts it's hard to pass judgement, but it seems the school had no problem passing suspension.

After reading and watching the student and interview, I for the life of me cannot figure out what the suspension is about.

Quote
When Jessica Barba, a freshman at a New York high school, created a Facebook account for a fictional 12-year-old, she was hoping to raise awareness about bullying. But did the school project go too far? NBC's Mara Schiavocampo reports and Barba and her parents speak with TODAY's Matt Lauer about assignment that caught the attention of police and resulted in her suspension.

Fail. Fail. Fail.

How is it that these "lawmakers" are just NOW getting online to learn about 'anonymous comments'?

Beck: Facebook’s Failure May Be Part of Government Plan to Control Internet

I heard from a 2nd news article about what Glenn Beck said with Facebook and the Government... cause guess what, Beck is a phucking attention getting shock jock and has zero credibility. He is entertainment. Period. Sucky entertainment.

Quote
Was Facebook systematically overvalued in order to force it into a government bailout?

That’s the hypothesis that Glenn Beck offered on GBTV tonight, and like many of Beck’s hypotheses, you might be surprised at the evidence that exists for it. In a nearly 20 minute segment, Beck meticulously and carefully picked his way through the past record of the company that handled the IPO for Facebook – Morgan Stanley – and pointed out that they don’t exactly have a record of success in helping companies go public.

“Morgan Stanley was the lead consultant on Fannie and Freddie bailouts,” Beck said in the segment. “They also set the IPO for General Motor. Whoa.”

The evidence from that point continued to mount, all to support Beck’s contention that the administration wanted Facebook to fail. Why? So that it could be brought into the orbit of the government as one of many formerly powerful companies that had to take money in exchange for loyalty. Beck suggested that the reason the government would want this is because control over Facebook via public money would enable them to have huge amounts of control over the internet, which they would then use to stifle dissent.

Believe it or not I'm torn. I mostly am on the side of no one tells me what to do, let alone the government. But I was thinking... I thought this way about cigarettes. I am so supportive of saying keep your stinking smoke away for me. How different is this from the soda ban. Basically someone telling everybody that you can't do something. You could argue cigs are bad... For everyone. So is soda.

I need to think about this more. I would worry about the slippery slope of how many fries, or candy bars you gonna eat this week.
