Totally agree that once a product is bought and paid for, the consumer has every right to do with it what he or she wants to do, including selling it. Had this gone through, it would have had a profound impact on what I could and couldn't sell on eBay right now. A little off topic here, but the Video Game industry has been in an uproar over "lost" sales when their games are resold at a drastic price reduction. Is it no wonder that the majority of people, myself included prefer to buy used games for more than half the cost of a new one? Maybe if they would drop the ridiculous price point of $60 per game down to say $30-40, gamers would be more than willing to pay at that price. But what do they do? They try to strong arm retailers that sell used copies with legal action. In the end, within 2 years time, all the games will be 'Downloads' only, taking away our rights to sell off games once we are done with them. On top of that, the rumor is that these games will also be $70 and higher once the new consoles street. So, we now have to pay a higher price for an item that we are literally "stuck" with for life. There will be no way to recoup some, if not all of what we paid for, which absolutely blows and screams of price gouging.
