Awesome words and a great life lesson.
I laugh at myself because for a while my outlook on life was meh at best, horrible at worst and I just was setting myself up to be that grumpy old man that sat on the porch yelling at people to get off my lawn. It didn’t last long. I think that “Get Off My Lawn” stage lasted a very short time. I did learn being nice is so much easier to live. Being a jerk is hard, stressful and honestly no fun at all. I whole heartedly believe now what you, Mr. Macfarlane and others, live their life.

Being Nice reaps great rewards. The opposite brings nothing but loneliness.
