Eh, both parties need a reboot anyway. Proper Conservatives need a party of their own so they can cut apart from the tea party crazies, the liberals need a party to distinguish themselves from the sell-out lite-Republican Democrats, and the moderates need a party so they can have sensible candidates instead of the least objectionable options.
If there was an actual proper viable Conservative out there (not an obstructionist bathroom-controlling whiner) I could use for an example, I would give you a little mock-up. But basically:
Conservative (Preservation?) Party: Conservative Carl, the hypothetical competent Republican
Grand Republican: Trump, Palin, Crazy
Democratic: Clinton, Obama, etc
Democratic Socialist: Sanders, Trudeau and a fair amount of Europe
Honestly, the Republican Party is in such a shambles right now that if they want to remain viable, they should consider splitting. How long can they hope to keep getting elected when they do NOTHING and fix nothing in an age where we need fast, decisive action? The Democrats are so passionately split as well with the Sanders/Clinton divide that even if they do support Clinton if it comes to it, they won't feel any long-lasting debt to the party. So that split is coming, I'm relatively sure, even if it doesn't happen before November.
This is sort of like the phone company breaking up, we kind of need it. Politics is a monopoly, and we in America don't like them. The parties are too big to fail, and much like the banks, it's the people who pay for it.
