On top of that, have you heard about the case being brought up against Trump ---- a thirteen year old girl?  Incredible. I linked it, but like Cr6cked, the d6mn forum censored the link!   Can you imagine all those pro-Trump people trying to scrape those bumper stickers off their car if this turns out to be true?

You combine that with Hillary getting indicted (which i doubt will happen, but you never know), and you see why Sanders hasn't dropped out of the race.  Come November, he could be the only one on the ballot anyone's ever heard of!

(okay, that's not true, if Warren is Hillary's VP pick, then I imagine she'd get the nomination in a scenario like that... and I'd be more excited for a Warren Presidency than a Hillary one, or even a Bernie one).

Lynch seems to take queues about lying quite blatantly from the Clintons.

If our choices were already bad enough, we now have to deal with Stuart Smalley possibly factoring into all of this. Personally, I'll take Hanz and Franz as President/Vice President.  ;D

So if Trump became President, would he be able to fire the Vice President?

What are the powers of the president firing their cabinet?

Great question Mac. If you asked me this question 8 years ago I would said emphatically NO! But look at all the sh*t Obama has gotten away with with his Executive Orders circumventing Congress. So, who's to say what Drumpf could or would try to get away with should he be President. *Shudders*. Legally, he can't fire him and that's why Republicans are pushing for someone that has Political ties to Washington. Someone that can actually get things done in spite of Drumpf's own proclamation of being able to do just that. So, whoever Drumpf chooses as his VP is going to go along way in "uniting" the Republican Party and Drumpf knows this. It's also very important that whoever he picks is someone that can and will stand up to him. That's why I think that Newt Gingrich has the inside track for the VP slot over someone like Chris Christie who is nothing more than a doormat.

What little I've observed about Trump, I can't imagine anybody but him calling the shots.

Business wise, I imagine fellow business folks know who they are dealing with and work the gears accordingly. Politics seem to be a different animal. I just don't think Trumps business sense will work well with the political machine. Maybe a VP with a foot in the political world will help, but I see it like vinegar and oil, not mixing well.

Let's also be clear for the record: Drumpf has ZERO business sense.  He has had multiple bankruptcies, his projects almost always fail, he's been sued tons of times for not paying contractors for work, and he literally would have made more money (almost twice as much as he has now, actually) if he had let the money his father gave him just accrue interest in the bank.  You know the phrase "a man born on third who thinks he hit a triple?"  Drumpf is a man who was born on third, then walked to second and convinced people that he was going the right way.

And even if he DID have business sense, government is not a business, and America is not a resource to be exploited.  People who try to run the government like a business almost always fail because the priorities of a business and a government are different.

What I want to know is how Comey, with a straight face said "She acted in a reckless manner with regards to her email and National Security". Who drops a bomb like that and then follows it up with "we won't recommend charges". Seriously, what the f*ck. That's an oxymoron if I ever heard one.

Because being reckless is not a crime.  They're not bringing charges because the evidence is not weak enough to get any kind of conviction, and if they don't have a strong enough case to prove someone's guilt, there's no point in a trial.  Also, their point about an unsecured e-mail system might look bad in court considering the normal state department's e-mail was hacked, which they just announced.

Hillary Clinton’s Email Scandal Is Just The Start Of A Digital Security Nightmare

Not as incendiary as the title suggests, they actually goes into a rough timeline of the events (which puts a lot of the reasons and problems involved in the Hillary e-mail "scandal" into an understandable context) and the inherent flaws of e-mail.  A quick read, but I can't help thinking there's a big issue here, not what Hillary did, but how the whole system is completely insecure, how slow laws are to catch up, and what this all could be headed towards.  In other words, the article is all "the start of" and not "the digital nightmare."  Though anyone who talks about the digital nightmare would probably be labeled as an alarmist loon, until they're proven right.

Interesting read. Still tells me, politicians think and live on a different plane than anybody else.

And they do.  I'm sure it's partly ego, and partly because the rules and world politics takes place in is so absurd.  The mixture varies by person, of course.
