I still hope someone goes after her and the Clinton's organization. There is something going on and I'm betting it's not legal.

This ^^.

I think the Trump organization is just down-playing the idea of not pursuing this right now to ensure a smooth transition and not inflame an already volatile investigation. He has to just let the FBI do their job and if they do find evidence that the Clinton Foundation was in fact dealing in pay-for-play, he will have no choice but to indict. He can't call himself the "Law and Order" Candidate (now President) and let her skate. It would undermine everything his campaign was built on and reflect extremely poorly in the eyes of many.

Trump Meets Obama at White House for First Time | Full Special Report

Today was a fascinating day to see both Trump and Obama sharing the same space for the first time after all the mud slinging, going back the last 5 years.

Hate Crimes across the country after Trump victory

Don't look away.  You have to click that.

I've been seeing these since the election's been called.  There are a TON of them.  A few hours ago Shaun King, a civil rights activist and key member of Black Lives Matter, reported that he had over 3,000 of these e-mails and they keep coming in.  And not just violence against blacks, but muslims, Asians (really, ASIANS!), women, anyone.

The shocking thing is hearing how supposed friends and neighbours turned into monsters after the election announcement.  The amount of people who wanted to be cruel and horrible, sexist, racist, VIOLENT... it's astonishing.  And all they needed was permission.  And they got it.  It's like a god d*mn episode of Black Mirror.

Sadly, this was expected given the climate we are living in right now.

Well, given that I have black cousins, and a mixed-race baby that I love, and gay friends, I can't be so blase about it.

Medicare is going to be privatized

Quote
Ryan tells Baier, “Because of Obamacare, Medicare is going broke.” This is false. In fact, it’s the complete opposite of the truth. The Medicare trust fund has been extended 11 years as a result of the passage of Obamacare, whose cost reforms have helped bring health care inflation to historic lows. It is also untrue that repealing Obamacare requires changing traditional Medicare. But Ryan clearly believes he needs to make this claim in order to sell his plan, or probably even to convince fellow Republicans to support it.

Mac, you on Medicare?

Social Security will no doubt follow.

If Hillary Clinton had won the election, and the Republicans still went after her, and there were charges to bring forward, there would be a trial.  Everyone would push for it, Trump included.  You'd expect that much, right?  You'd want her accountable.  I would too.

Well, Trump is supposed to go on trial very soon for his Trump University fraud, but now Trump's attorneys want to postpone it.

Guess what?  That was the postponement.  The case was postponed until AFTER the election so that it wouldn't sway the public's vote.  That's a courtesy that's supposed to be given to all the candidates, but wasn't.  He already got his special treatment, now he's asking for more, because he's always gotten it.

They are just whining about not getting what they want. The Cupcake Nation is alive and well. I don't think they have an end game other than doing what they are doing. With that said, the Hollywood elite are now circulating a petition called the Hail Mary with the idea of convincing 38 electors before inauguration day to change their vote to Clinton. Look, I despise Trump and as much as I hate the man on a personal level, to go down this road of altering election day results after the fact is a slippery slope that will wreck everything about the Constitution and America as a whole. You allow people to change the vote now....then you can expect the same thing EVERY 4 years when the losing side whines and cries about not getting what they wanted.

I did not hear about that thinking. Excellent point.

I don't get why protestors destroy their own city. In any event... even sport wins. It bogles the mind.

They're not whining.  They're scared.

They're gay people who are frightened because we have a VP who believes in conversion therapy,and that gay people don't deserve ANY civil rights.

They're latina people who are scared that their families are going to be ripped apart.

They're Muslim people who are scared b/c the President-Elect's web site changed back to calling for a blanket ban of anyone of their faith from entering the country.

They're people who believe in the power of free speech terrified of a President Elect that could severely limit the First Amendment.

They're environmentalists who are scared because the Earth is passing the point of no return on climate change and the President Elect believes it's a hoax (it's not, and you guys know it).

They're women who are terrified that their abilities to control their bodies will be severely reduced by shutting down Planned Parenthood.

Some of them are among the 22 million people terrified they'll never get health insurance again if the ACA is repealed, which has been a Republican dream for years (they tried repealing it 62 times already).

They're people who realize that the next four years will be utterly devastating to the middle class.

They're protesting because these very important concerns were NEVER addressed on the news, or in the debates.  Remember, the actual air time on all three major networks actually DEVOTED to the issues over the entire year as 32 minutes.

You're right, though, the issue with the protests is that they don't have a clear goal, they were too spontaneous, too emotional.

But protests, when they have a purpose, have given us a LOT of things that we take for granted:

* The 40 hour work week
* unemployment insurance
* paid time off
* paid parental leave
* public schools
* social security
* medicaid
* medicare
* the Americans with Disabilities Act
* Title IX
* the end of acid rain
* the Clean Air & Water Acts
* the National Parks
* AIDS research and prevention
* the end of military conscription

I think what these protests will show is that, when the time comes for specific resistance to a policy, that there will be a turnout.  All this could simply just be roll call.

Now, if you want to talk about WHINING, the Trump supporters vowed to do this exact same thing if Hillary won-- except they were intending to be far more violent.  But again, they didn't have a goal in mind either.  And these same ones who were promising they would march are upset that the other side is marching.  Complete hypocrisy.

Via Slate, Senators Who Think Benghazi Is Worst Scandal Ever Threaten to Turn Every Embassy Into Benghazi.   Basically, Cruz and Rubio, who screamed "BENGHAZI! for months on end," are threatening to cut funding for security and maintenance of ALL of our embassies by 50 percent unless the Isreali embassy is moved from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

So, purportedly the Russians have "video of Drumpf engagng in Golden Showers with  h o o k e r s ". Is anyone really shocked that he is into Golden Showers? It's only fitting that he is given the fact that he has been p*ssing on the American people for the past 2 years. Yeah, I get that this latest bit of news is most likely 'Fake News', but admit it, everyone is more prone to believing this than anything else. I do find it very telling, especially that of Liberal Networks like CNN that are running with the story as if this is legit, but they were sure to fire back against the idea of Clinton running a Pedo-ring out of a Pizza joint as being absurd.
