The BBC actually has a timeline of the Pizzagate debacle, which if you remember or didn't know, was complete bullsh*t that didn't hold water or even pay attention to simple details, like the fact that the building doesn't have a basement.

And as for the peeing thing, what I can gather is that it's not that, it's that he hired hookers to pee on the bed because the Obamas had stayed there, some ridiculous, childish thing like that.  And I could see him doing that.

Now this dossier isn't confirmed, it could very well be false.  It does feed into the narrative that the Russians might be extorting Trump, and fits in with other patterns we're seeing, but this information itself we don't know if it's true or false.  We also have to bear in mind that the Intelligence Community is not happy with Donald Trump right now since he's rather dismissive of them and has made mention of wanting to reshape some of the agencies.

Quite frankly, I think the only way to know what's going on is to wait 20 years and read about it in a book... of which I'm sure there will be several.

So as you may have heard, the Republicans voted at one in the morning on cutting key parts of the ACA, including pre-existing conditions and keeping children on their parents' plans.

And why?  Well, a report from the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities points out that the repeal would be a tax cut of about $7 million dollars a year to the 400 highest-income households in the US.  And a tax increase for everyone else.  On top of making it far more difficult to get health insurance.

I'm amazed that between this, private prison, hydrofracking, that there isn't a consistent message from the opposition: "Your suffering is their profit."  You want a simple message?  That's it.  I've said it before and I've said it again, the current state of the Republican Party sees America as a piggy bank and gov't as the hammer.

Watching the Pre-Inauguration right now and they just had the Trumps and the Obama's standing side by side for their photo op (greeting each other, hugs, present) and this is the most awkward and uncomfortable thing I've ever witnessed. Just really weird and odd to see play out.

Tickets are cheap.  And she's a former first lady, you may have forgotten.  Protocol dictates former Presidents and First Ladies attend the inauguration.

Good Lord, we are in for a looooooong 4 years. Well, it took all of 20 minutes to see that Trump is just way out of his element (which we all knew anyway). He's at CIA Headquarters a few minutes ago to make amends and give reassurance to those in the intelligence agency....and what does he proceed to do? He b*tches, moans and whines that the Media is lying about his crowd turnout yesterday.

SERIOUSLY, WHAT THE F*CK!

This is what you want to focus on? Your f*cking crowds? You're in CIA Headquarters for f*ck sake. Act like it! Tell the people you've got their back and will support them in their job. And then exit stage left. F*CK!

Gawd, I hate this fake news stuff. This stuff is seriously dividing the country by leading folks on different paths.

I spent last weekend with a couple we really like, but took a abnormal amount of time, discussing politics. They decided to talk on about this golden shower scenario. They fully expected this is what will explode and impeach Trump. I got irritated because, not only are you taking my time talking about something that is probably not true, but it's Debbie Downer for a great fun evening.

One week later, not a peep by anybody, because why? Dunno. I can think of lots of reasons. It not true. It's a rumor. No evidence. People continue trying anything to topple Trump.

To what end.

Let me just say... I do not understand , now that Trump is president, the folks trying to make Trump fail. If he fails, don't we we Americans fail?

Interesting article in New York Magazine about what happens when trust in institutions fail.  Interesting, depressing, probably very relevant.  I kept thinking "how many of these negative assumptions am I making already? Back when I assumed most things WERE working the way they were supposed to?"

Imagine living in a country where you don't get out of the way of an ambulance and not caring about that.  Or worse, being in that ambulance.

Via TheNation, House Republicans Just Voted to Eliminate the Only Federal Agency That Makes Sure Voting Machines Can’t Be Hacked

From the article:

"It’s particularly ironic that the Trump administration is preparing to launch a massive investigation into nonexistent voter fraud based on the lie that millions voted illegally while House Republicans are shutting down the agency that is supposed to make sure America’s elections are secure. It’s more proof of how the GOP’s real agenda is to make it harder to vote."

That last part is the real point of it.  The narrow margins of "victory" that Drumpf got were due to gerrymandering and voter discrimination.  Limited polling places in non-white neighbourhoods, voter ID laws... if you're not likely to vote for Republicans, you shouldn't get to vote at all, basically.

Via Vice:

Donald Trump Is Living Out All the Ridiculous Stereotypes of a Female President

I'm getting tired of articles that prove, yet again, that these snowflakes possess all the faults they accuse others of having, but it needs to be said enough times so that the public actually understands it.
