Thanks guys....

... I walked through it quite a bit. I like some of the stuff.

I was wondering about the trial setup. I don't see how that works. I don't want to commit to anything at the moment. I just want to give it a go and see what works. I don't see anything regarding the policy for Trial and the questions area doesn't have any answers.

Youtube video's

Is there a way to somehow capture a youtube video like an .mp4 file and play it when I want?

The reason I ask, I view 'drum cover' video's of people playing songs a decent way and want to watch these and play along while I learn and practice on my kit.

Right now, I have a wi-fi connection to my laptop and it's very sporadic on good streaming. I have to start, wait, restart, etc. I think it would be much easier to have the file available (like a .mp3) and just play it through a player without issues.

Thoughts on capturing the video?

Every Browser comes with a bunch of different apps that allows you to download videos specifically from YouTube. Chrome has what is called Chrome YouTube Downloader App/Extension. It's very good at what it does. Once installed, you open up a YouTube video page and look below the video for the Channel's logo Icon / Avatar. To the right of that Avi you will see a 'Subscribe' button and to the right of that it will now have the 'Download' button. Click on the Download button and it will give a few choices of what you can save the file as. MP4, FLV, etc.... Just know beforehand that this app only works for those uploading the video haven't disabled the ability to download.

Well, that's cool.

Do I need to be running Chrome? I honestly am not sure what that is.

I exclusively use Firefox. Maybe that has something?

Once the file is downloaded to your computer, you can access it like any other video or audio file. You don't need browser to play it. Firefox has Download Helper which is just as good as the Chrome app. DH can download pretty much any video and not just YouTube videos, but it's not the same as Chrome in that you will have to look elsewhere for the download button.
