So, this past Monday, on my power walk down to the Post Office and the Library, I found $385 in cash on the sidewalk. I called the store nearest where it was found and ask if anyone had come in claiming they had lost any money. They did. So, I gave the business my name and contact number to get in touch with me. It took two days, but he finally got back to me about 20 minutes ago and he was happy someone had found it and called it in (as he should be!!!!). He just swung by and I gave him his big fat wad of cash. He was supremely grateful that he was holding his money once again (as he should be!!!!). He offered me a reward for it. I refused. He forced the issue and I told him it wasn't necessary. I didn't want it. He kept pressing the need to give me a $100. I think from the looks of it, my turning it down was kind of insulting him in away. He put the cash in my hand and got in his car a very happy man (as he should be!!!!) and drove off.
Just thought I share that little story with you guys. Now I'm heading to pool to get my laps in today (as I should be!!!!).
