Ocean's Thirteen is definitely a return to fine form of the original Ocean's Eleven (http://pennycan.createaforum.com/dvd's-blu-rays/ocean's-eleven/msg5663/#msg5663). Although it's not perfect is does succeed where Ocean's Twelve (http://pennycan.createaforum.com/dvd's-blu-rays/ocean's-twelve-(2004)/msg10036/#msg10036) "failed". It also returns to the scene of the original crime: Las Vegas. This one isn't about breaking into a vault, but more of a series of long cons that culminate as one at the end to nail down their heist. Watching this one reminded me why the first one worked as well as it did that I forgot to point out in my review for Ocean's Twelve. In Ocean's Eleven, Danny Ocean (George Clooney) is looking to take down Benedict (Andy Garcia) because he took his woman, Tess (Julia Roberts) from him and he wants her back. It's basically a "revenge" plot, which the second film was not.

In Ocean's Thirteen, the Eleven crew is looking to avenge Reuben Tishkoff (Elliott Gould) who at the hands of Willy Bank (Al Pacino) conned him out of his  C a s i n o  and promptly has a heart attack. That's their motivation. They each have something personal to gain by taking down a collosal douche and prick. To say anymore here would in fact ruin the movie for any that has yet to see it. Pretty much the entire gang returns here with the exception of Julia Roberts and Catherine Zeta-Jones. But in their place, Ellen Barkin joins in on the fun.

This is definitely worth a Rent, but for me it's a no brainer for me to Buy this as I love heist flicks and this is one of the better ones for sure.
