It's such a shame that no one knows about Flashpoint. I have been a huge fan of the show since the beginning. But CBS really **** up in marketing the show and then constantly moving it around schedule-wise that no one could find it. And then they "cancelled" the show, which was eventually picked up by a Canadian Network and have been in production ever since. It has been picked up for a 5th Season. Awesome.

Personal Effects

Personal Effects picks up from the Season 3 cliffhanger a mere 1 week after it premiered. The scheduling and actual episode order for the last couple of seasons has been completely out of whack due to the new Network taking over from CBS and determining what is and isn't Season 4. Bah. Confusing.

Anyway, this episode was off the hook as always and Victor Garber returns and does his usual awesome stuff.

Good Cop is another solid episode that sees Ed Lane return to the team strictly as a ride-along which eventually leads to him back in the thick of it. At the end is is giving the team his notice to honor his wife's wishes that he quit and spend more time with the family. Ha. Those writers can't fool me. I knew he wasn't leaving the team. He's the star of the show!  :P

What a great episode. Tension filled from start to finish. Modern day Robin Hood robbing from Corporate CEO's that becomes a media darling and a fan favorite with kids. I never saw the twist coming at the end with who Sage turned out to be. As always, the show ends with another kick ass song that fits in nicely with the episode at hand.

Another knock-out episode. Nice twist with the Old Lady. I was certain that it was just another rich, full-of-herself lady that thinks she can just buy whatever she wants...including her Granddaughter. I should have known that there was more to the story. So, having it turn out that the kidnappers used Photoshop to set up the mark was good.

Props to Ed Lane for the kill shot on a moving target. BAM!!

As for the overall mythology of the show, it's getting interesting now that cracks are starting to form within the Unit ever since the cliffhanger from Season 3.  It looks like they will be doing an arc involving Kevin "Wordy" Wordsworth and his "secret" that he is keeping from Ed and the rest of the gang.

Wow. A lot of **** went down in this episode, the biggest concerning Wordy and the revelation that he has Parkinson's Desease. It didn't take long for this arc to rear it's head. They went right into it. This is definitely a game changer and from the looks of it, Wordy is now done with the team so as not to put his teammates in harm's way because of his condition. Cool character. Gonna miss him.  :(

Overall, this was a pretty powerful episode. One of the best for the entire series.

Well, it looks like Wordy is in fact gone from the team, replaced my new team member Raf (Clé Bennett). He seems interesting. But I still miss Wordy. As for this episode it was drastically different than any other in the series. Instead of just 1 crisis situation, there were 3 happening at once as the team races to neutralize each one. And in each situation we learn a little bit more about Raf.

I guess this was the sole purpose of the episode, but I would have preferred they did the whole hour with the 3rd and final situation as it was the most interesting and intense of the 3. The ending was pretty cool as it showed the team even more about Raf as he took center stage with his band to sing. The closing scene was a new one with the Hostage from the 3rd story comes to thank Greg Parker (Enrico Colantoni) personally and winds up with a date. Nice to see the series expanding into personal stories now.

What an immensely satisfying episode, which was thick with tension from start to finish. What a rush. The entire story basically revolved around Spike as he races to defuse a bomb that will bring down a skyscraper, one that he is already trapped in. But it's not a race to defuse the bomb as it's more a race to get back to his dying father in the hospital. The ending was very touching.

The writers did a good job here. Even though I knew the Bomber to be....

Spoiler (hover to show)

God, I love this show.  :)

Flashpoint is no longer with CBS. It has moved on over to ION Television. But they don't seem to have their sh*t together right now and will not be hosting any future episodes online. At least not for awhile. (http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i266/Chiprocks1/Smilies/0%20All%20Smilies/banghead.gif)

It blows that Flashpoint moved from CBS to ION Television. Not only does ION not host new episodes, they have farmed out the new episodes to Amazon.Com only, which charges money to view. F*ck that sh*t. I'm not paying for stuff that I was getting for free online at CBS. They think that suddenly charging money in the middle of a Season is a sound business plan?

They purposely misled the fans of the show prior to the move that they would be hosting. I love the series, but I'm not going down this road. I'll just wait for the DVD releases.
