I'm a fan of Matthew Perry and unlike most people, I actually think that the series that he has done post-Friends have been good. I really liked Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip which was a crime to have been cancelled and Mr. Sunshine was very underrated as it constantly delievered laughs on a weekly basis for me. So, that brings us to Go On, his latest series. I won't say that I had high hopes for this. Actually, I didn't have any hopes for this at all and I think it's because Perry has unfairly been tagged  with the "never-going-to-equal-Friends-success" moniker now which leads me to believe that the show won't get a fair chance, even if it's the greatest thing ever put on TV.

So what bout this first epiode? It's not bad, but it's not great either. It does need some work. I thought the first episode was uneven. I really didn't know exactly what the series wanted to be. Although there were a few chuckles in the first half of the Pilot, it's not till the second half does it land on its feet and gives us something to take hold of. When Ryan King (Matthew Perry) loses his  s h i t  and stars throwing fruit at Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson (how ironic, huh?) do we get and understand where the series will be going. I do like that he will more or less be the one running the grief counselling sessions that he is suppose to be a participant of. I do like the motley crew that will form the inner circle. There seems to be a nice balance of weird, crazy and sad that can offer plenty of different stories they can run with. Lets just hope that people give Go On a chance and that this doesn't become another "failed" series for Perry. I'd like to see him take this one a lot longer than his last two.

I'm on board for this and will stick with it. Pilots are usually not indicative of what the series is about since most are rushed to get on the air, especially this one, which had an even shorter time frame to work with since it was set to premiere during the London 2012 Summer Olympics (http://pennycan.createaforum.com/sports/london-2012-olympics-(summer)/msg10883/#msg10883)

Very funny episode. I thought the whole dumping the boyfriend and then getting cats to replace him was good, especially Sonia reasons for why she kept getting more and more. This show does have a lot of promise. I'm sticking with it for the time being. It's not a stretch because it's obvious where this is going, but I see Ryan (Matthew Perry) eventually dating his group therapy leader Lauren (Laura Benanti) will of course offer some comedic moments when the conflict of interest rears its ugly head.

This was a fantastic episode. Loved it. Now the entire ensemble is firing on all cylinders. Not to say that they had the previous 2 episodes, but on this one everyone had their little moment to shine and it was great. Maybe it's just me, but I saw more "Chandler" in some of Matthew Perry's character of Ryan. That awkward sarcasm that he was well known for on Friends. Loved the 'basketball uniform' gag and the Porsche gag in the parking lot. Please renew this show ASAP!!

This episode is worth its weight in gold just for the Rachel Maddow joke. Haha. Very funny. Great episode.

This show is so damn funny. Loved this episode and I thought it was hilarious that the ended the episode with Mr K becoming a Real Estate Agent, along with Lauren. Very funny. I also thought it was a nice add to the show by having Ryan's 'Ghost Wife' appearing. I wonder if this will be incorporated into the series now. It wasn't something I envisioned the show going with, but I like the possibilities of where they can go with this angle.

This show is so frickin' awesome. The fact that they can have Ryan inside his own head at 'Harborville' and make sense just shows that when you have great writing, great characters and great actors, everything on screen makes sense. Very funny episode. Only downside to this episode is that it's over and now I have to wait another week for a new one. Another fantastic episode. There is no way a show should be this consistently funny and touching at the same time. The scavenger hunt was good, but it's what comes at the end that made this a keeper with Mr. K and Anne start dancing. Very funny. The cherry on top was a visit from Ryan's late wife to share in the moment of contemplation of what she did in setting up his Birthday party. I like this angle of her show up from time to time. Gives us more insight into who Ryan was with her.

Loved this episode. It took awhile, but they finally gave Owen (Tyler James Williams) an episode focusing on him and we got to learn a little bit more about the character, his mom and what his brother means to him. That's the thing about having a big ensemble with a lot of likable characters. It takes time to get around to each one, especially in the first season. The pranks that Owen and Ryan pull on each other were funny. Getting Ryan to sing to the "coma" patient had me LOL.

This is only Episode 8, but I see less and less of Bill Cobbs, the guy that plays George. Not sure if he has been busy shooting a movie or what, but his character is hardly on the show anymore.

UPDATE: I did check on IMDb and it looks like he has 4 movies in the can, all in 2012.

I was very surprised to see Lauren Graham pop up on Go On. It's very rare that you find an actor or actress that has a successful show jumping onto another one that isn't a crossover, but a different character all together. They even set it up that she could potentially play the love interest for Ryan down the road in future episodes. My guess is that should Parenthood (http://pennycan.createaforum.com/tv/parenthood-(season-4-2012)/msg12093/#msg12093) run its course while Go On is still on the air, she would definitely pop up then, if not sooner.

Welcome back George (Bill Cobbs)!! It's been awhile, but it was great to see him back on the show and it wasn't just a cameo either. They gave him a good story where he wants to go out and party and live his life. The set up is that no one thinks he can do it given his situation. The pay off is that he in fact did go and tear it up with the ladies in Vegas. Very cool to see Misty May (http://pennycan.createaforum.com/sports/london-2012-olympics-(summer)/msg11042/#msg11042) in this one too, playing herself. Great episode all around. Loved the bit where Sonia and Danny went looking for her lost cat. The pay off there is that it looks like they are setting them up as a potential couple.

This is without a doubt, the best new show of the 2012 Season.

Mr. K OWNED this episode as he preps his 'End Of The World' Party. He was  f u c k i n g  hilarious! Give this man a spin-off! Actually, don't do that. I think you take anyone of the characters out of the equation, it would cripple the show. This is what you call the 'dream cast ensemble'. Everyone brings it. Well, almost everyone. Once again George goes AWOL! What the hell!

Mr. K for the win. Having him play Ryan's surrogate "wife" was both funny and creepy. Also good was Bob Costas. I think he needs to become a returning cast member on the show. There is gold to be mined with him for sure. Overall, one of the best episodes this season. And once again, George (Bill Cobbs) is MIA.

Awesome episode and one that threw me for a loop. All this time I thought they were gonna set up Ryan and Lauren as a potential couple. So, imagine my surprise when they suggested that there may be something brewing between him and Carrie. Sure, they put the kibosh on it by the end, but they did leave it open that there is a possibility. I think it would be great for the show to suddenly have him dating someone at work and it being awkward to the point that it starts to affect him on the radio. But then again, it seems like everything affects him on the radio. The Shawn White cameo was pretty good too.

Awesome! I'm not a fan of Terrell Owens, but even his cameo in this was pretty good. But it was Piper Perabo (http://pennycan.createaforum.com/dvd's-blu-rays/coyote-ugly-(2000)/msg12528/#msg12528) joining the cast, at least for this one episode, that made this one particularly memorable. This has to a be a multiple episode arc since the writers had her and Ryan hooking up, a major breakthrough for him since the passing of his wife. So, I see this as a love interest type of thing that will run for a couple of episodes before it flames out. Mr. K and his 'Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap' gag was also extremely funny. More please!!

I will never stop singing the praises of this show. It's just so damn good with one of the best ensemble cast ever put together. Everyone got their moment to shine in this Valentines Day episode. The bulk of it had to do with Ryan feeling guilty about dating, fearing he would be hurting his deceased wife by moving on. The good news is that Piper looks to be on board for the time being as Simone. With her and Ryan reconciling at the end of the episode, it's very promising she will be around a while longer.

It started off slow. Really? How's that possible with a show like Go Deep? Um, having Terrell Owens on, yet again, will kinda do that. So, now that he is an intern, expect more T.O. sightings on the show. Eh. Anyway, the rest of the episode was funny, especially the scenes involving George and his detective skills. I liked the reveal that Ryan's girlfriend Simone actually speaks "Jersey".

Nanny K for the win! Haha. They should have Mr. K as Marry Poppins every episode. The nod to The Sound of Music was also pretty good. Loved the nod to Sixteen Candles as well. As soon as I heard Wish You Were Here by the Thompson Twins, I knew exactly what they were doing and why. FYI, the Mitt Romney joke was hilarious, especially the way that Mr. K delivered it. Well, it looks like Piper Perabo's run as Simone has come to an end. It actually ran longer than I expected. Props to Bradley Whitford for his cameo. He also starred with Matthew Perry on Studio 60, which should have never been cancelled.

So, with Ryan doing a nice thing for Sonia, does this mean that she is going to start crushing on him now that Danny is out of the picture having just found his own girlfriend? We shall see. The whole Mr. Belvedere gag was damn funny and yet very creepy at the same time. I like that they are keeping Mr. K's idendity a secret. It's a gag that can run for pretty much the entire length of the series.

Chandler and Monica!! Wheeeeeeeee!!! Ever since the beginning of the series, I have been wanting to see former cast mates from Friends pop up on Go On. Out of all of them, the one I thought would be the least likely to do so was Courteney Cox, only because of her prior commitment with Cougar Town. She was great in this one. It's definitely a one-off appearance. But I do hope that they can work her back in sometime in the future. One down and four to go. Bring on the next Friend!!

At first, I thought the idea of using a Basketball Mascot was going to be very bad for cheap laughs. Turns out, it was very good and nothing but laughs. Very funny indeed. The big thing about this episode is that Carrie quits her job so that there won't be any awkwardness for Ryan and her to get together. His move. So, does this really mean that Allison Miller miller is leaving the show and they used this as a way for her exit? Or are they going to pursue a relationship and it flames out, break up and then she returns back to her old job? I want her on the show. The other news is that Lauren called off her wedding, which leads me to think of the previous scenario with Carrie as a possibility because I think in the end the writers want Lauren and Ryan to hook up. That's my guess.

I can't believe this was the last episode of Season 1. It all flew by way too fast. Great way to end it with Ryan looking for the perfect place to spread Jannie's ashes. The fact that he ended up spreading them at home plate at the batting cages, the place of their 3rd date and the place when he took her to calm her down on their wedding day was....perfect and very touching. I'm gonna miss my daily dose of Go On. It's gonna be a long summer, waiting for its return.

When I found out about my favorite show of late (Rules Of Engagement) getting cancelled, I was curious as to why. And Warburton has been very vocal about this... (http://www.realitytvworld.com/news/patrick-warburton-rules-of-engagement-may-end-after-this-season-1025513.php) The studio has wavering faith in the show. They don't love, they don't hate it.

Rules of Engagement brought in decent number consistently, but Warburton talks about how they use his show as a pawn or B-player (http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/denette-wilford/rules-of-engagement-cbs_b_2948589.html). It was constantly moved to accommodate other shows.

So, since no one was probably standing up for the show, acting like it's retarded child, they had no problems of just stamping it cancelled.

Sorry to hear about the shows cancellation.
