Invincible is a cross between Rudy and Rocky in which Vince Papale (Mark Wahlberg) who at 30 years of age is "old" by NFL standards, never played college football, gets the opportunity of a lifetime when the Philadelphia Eagles have an open tryout for the public, giving them a chance to make the team. Against all odds, he actually makes it. Then it's an uphill battle to make it through cut after cut while trying to earn the respect of his teammates who view him as a scab. He's not "one of them" and is looked on as nothing more than a publicity stunt. But his determination eventually wins them over leading up to their Home game against the Giants. Elizabeth Banks and Greg Kinnear were also great in this as well.

These are the kind of Sports movies I like and when done right, they can very satisfying on an emotional level. Who doesn't like rooting for the underdog to succeed? It's a great movie. I own this one already and I highly recommend this as a Buy for sports fans.
