I went into The Hangover Part II with very low expectations because I've heard nothing but bad word of mouth. I was a fan of the first film, but I never thought it was the awesome comedy that people made it out to be. I reviewed the movie on another forum a couple of years ago (you know where) and I remember giving it something like 4 Stars. It was good, just not great. That brings us to Part II. In a nutshell, it's the EXACT same plot, but instead of Vegas, it's in Bangkok and less funny.

This was a hard movie to get through because there was very little comedy and because it was the same plot all over again, I had very little interest in what was happening. The only thing I liked was the monkey. That should sum it up for ya. There were a couple of courtesy chuckles here and there, but nothing that I would call truly funny. I will say that I did get a kick out of what Alan's wedding present was for Stu near the end of the movie. Took me totally by surprise and was about the only thing that actually made me sit up and  grin.

But at the end of the day, this has fail written all over it. Definitely a Skip.

You referring to Mike Tyson singing? That curved my spine.

Hangover 2 has been on cable for awhile. I just never made attempts to watch it because of my ‘meh’ attitude about the first one. Yea, a couple of funny spots but not the greatness I was hearing people shellac it with. In fact, we snuck into a theater to check out Hangover and was unimpressed with the first 30 minutes, we left. I didn’t know about the rest of the movie or the ending till recently.

My wife had Hangover 2 on and I sat down with her to watch it. Yep… exactly like the first one. Talk about zero creativity. And they are working on #3?
