I'm not embarassed to admit that Mean Girls is a guilty pleasure movie for me. one that I never get tired of watching. Whether it's on DVD or channel surfing, I always make time to watch this. I really can't find anything hate about this movie at all. A great cast of characters played by actors that own it. Lindsay Lohan was great in this as was Rachel McAdams, Lacey Chabert and Amanda Seyfried. Talk about hitting a Grand Slam with a group of hotties. Yowzza! Not to be outdone though is Lizzy Caplan and Tina Fey. I thought Tina did a great job with adapting the screenplay and making it her own. There is nothing original about Cliques trying to bring each other down, but this still feels fresh and original. It's a great addition to the High School genre film, which everyone knows I'm a huge fan of.

I highly recommend this as a Buy. Great soundtrack as well, so you get some kick ass tunes to go along with the hotties on screen. Pick it up now.

Seriously?  WHAT happened?

Lohan was so good in this.  I need to rewatch this flick... though I have been watching a lot of Suburgatory lately so I should probably wait a little bit (Suburgatory is also quite enjoyable).

Now that I got the movie review out of the way, I want to address the white elephant in the room. While watching Mean Girls tonight, the one thought going through my head was how the f*ck did everything go wrong for Lindsay? What happened to her. She had it all and it's sad to realize that this is the last good thing she ever did and that was 7 years ago!! She needs to watch the movie herself to see what it is that every one loved about her. It's kinda strange that the movie in a way mirrored her own life where she now thinks she is above all....and for what? What is she getting out of tanking her career?

I can't even look at pictures of her now with that face. She just totally butchered it. Sad doesn't even begin to do what she has done any sort of justice. I want nothing more than for her to get her  s h i t  together and start making movies that people want to see. The public at large is very forgiving and will forget a lot of wrong doings. But she does herself no favors with how she behaves and acts toward other people.

Continuing with my Lohan Marathon today. I still like the movie, but watching this one, this time around, ya can't help but wonder if this is the movie were everything started to go wrong for her. She had b huge hit the movie, she was as popular as she has ever been. There are moments within the movie where art imitates life, or is that the other way around, especially for her? Anyway, I think she may have let things go to head after the success of this movie in particular.
