Scientists Grow An Even Better Replacement Human Ear
So I have to ask, this research they are discussing is only talking about the physical ear shape? Not the function of the ear?
The idea of growing a body part off an animal just seems archaic... today. Scientists have gone much further with 3D printing of ears (http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-205_162-57583308/3d-printed-bionic-ear-hears-better-than-the-real-thing/) with living tissue, which included a video of the process.
This link has a video of a scientist discussing what they are currently doing (http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-204_162-57570818/3d-printers-help-scientists-grow-prosthetic-ears/)
And the ability for these ears to actually function.
Hey, I love innovation and anything to improve life, but these guys are discussing what seems like old technology.

ABC World News Now : Sea World Veterinarians Perform First Shark C-Section

This is fascinating to see.

Wow, just wow

As the new anchor pointed out, I too never thought about C-Sections performed on animals, let alone a Shark.

You know what, I think you’ve hit on something here. I mean, if done right this could make a fascinating weekly television show. Animal Medical Marvels. Since we don’t see or even hear about this stuff will make it that much more fascinating. Impregnating an Elephant, Golden Retiever’s broken legs, studying the inside of cow from a hole in its side. Maybe just a news report or documentary might be too dry or even gross for some, I dunno, amp it up some with humans and tada, you have a TV show.
From the basic to the extreme medical related issues. I know I’d watch it.

I know I’d watch it.
As would I.

Woman's cancer in remission after measles virus
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTLL6IMf8NY&index=36&list=PLp2e7UfInEgmB-5r4rtQOEsq-H-mNmQhk
I really hope this is in fact a breakthrough for the war on Cancer. With all the technology we have today and all the strides we have made in other areas of medical science, it's very depressing that we haven't come up with any kind of cure for this. Hopefully this 'Measles Virus' is a step in the right direction.

Cancer is a bugger... I know way to many people.

Woman, 29, chooses to end life 2 days after husband’s birthday (http://fox5sandiego.com/2014/10/07/woman-29-chooses-to-end-life-2-days-after-husbands-birthday/)
The Brittany Maynard Fund

Really not sure where to post this. I figured that since she intends to end it all via prescription medicine, this is as good a place as any to post. I think her decision to end it is definitely justified if it's a known fact that she will be in serious pain, battling the disease.
-
What courage and strength. Her advice at the end to live each moment is even more profound.
I think we will see more death with dignity movement. Personally, I see way to many people suffering today. While I hope to never be put in that position, there has to be some comfort to know there is another way the undignified and slow painful death.
