Title: Starsky & Hutch (2004)

Starsky & Hutch
Widescreen Edition

This is one of the poorest career choices that Ben Stiller has ever made. First off, was there really ever a need to remake Starsky & Hutch for the Silver Screen? On top of that, the movie is just not funny at all...intentional or otherwise. Look, I'm a fan of Ben, but his choices over the years has been a series of hit and misses. Lately it's been a lot of misses. Every once in a while he is able to trot out a movie that actually delivers for me. Tropic Thunder ('s-blu-rays/tropic-thunder/msg5623/#msg5623) anyone? But for every good movie, there seems to be more bad ones like Starsky & Hutch or a Tower Heist ('s-blu-rays/tower-heist/msg8308/#msg8308).

I bought this movie as a blind buy when it first came out on DVD. Big mistake. Not sure what year that was, but this is only the 2nd time I've watched the movie and it's probably worse this time around because there are no surprises for me. I want to like this, but it's just NOT funny and through most of the film, I just find myself very bored with it. This is definitely a Skip. This is a sup-par "Action" flick that really doesn't have much in the way of action....or comedy. I may pop in The Ben Stiller Show and remember him when he was at the top of his game.
