Spike TV revives 'Joe Schmo' reality prank series  (http://insidetv.ew.com/2012/08/14/spike-joe-schmo/)

I'm sure that Mac will have plenty to say about this. (http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i266/Chiprocks1/Smilies/0%20All%20Smilies/HTL_wink.gif) Personally, I dug Season 1. It was awesome, especially it's cast of characters like 'The Hutch' leading the way of manipulation. He was damn funny. But the biggest personality to emerge from the show was Kristen Wiig who went on to become one of the most revered players on SNL. She was good in this. For those that have never heard of the show, it was a real life version of The Truman Show (http://pennycan.createaforum.com/dvd's-blu-rays/the-truman-show-(1998)/msg15237/#msg15237). I loved the first season. I hated the second one. So, after being off the air for so long, I'm actually very surprised that it's being resurrected. And yes, I will be tuning in to see how Season 3 plays out.

The premiere was way better than I thought it would be. It's living in a pretty big shadow when comparing it to Season 1. But after just the first episode, I am definitely on board for the time being. What I didn't think would happen would be one person in particular being insanely funny. I am of course speaking of Lorenzo Lamas. When he starts barking like a dog, he had me on the floor howling. Soooooooooo funny!! If he keeps this up, people are going to start talking about him. Clips will end up going viral. His career may have a second wind.

The "challenges" are so ridiculously over the top that I think they run the risk of drawing attention to itself. The more they push the envelope, the easier it will be for Chase to start questioning the legitimacy of the show. It's still funny, but they need to dial it down so that they can keep it believable. I was surprised that the show "voted" off Lorenzo. He was the best part about the show with his 'Diva' attitude of entitlement. I'm sure the people behind the show will engineer a way for him to return back on the show. Hmmmmm.....I remember them doing that doing Season 1 as well.

Voting off Lorenzo last episode was a big mistake. I knew that there would be a hit and it felt like that conflict on the show went right out the window. He was great in keeping Chase off balance because he was acting so weird. What better way to generate some TV moments than that? Still, this was a good episode. I don't know how the producers are going to be able to keep this gag running given the amount of questions he keeps asking. He is bound to trip one of these actors sooner or later. It's just a question of how fast they can dig themselves out of the hole should they spill too much.

I knew it wouldn't take long for the "deaf" chick to blow her cover and hear something she shouldn't be hearing. I still don't know how she walked away without being grilled on how she could hear all of the sudden. Randy's speech to and about LV during the elimination ceremony was both offensive and funny. It was so ridiculously over the top that I'm surprised that Chase didn't figure it out that he's being punked.

Easily the best episode so far this season and definitely the funniest! This is laugh out loud stuff right here folks. I honestly don't know what I consider to be the funniest moment. Is it the Deaf Girl and Mr. Wentworth singing along with the Prisoners? Is it Randy screwing over his partner by giving the Immunity Vest to someone else? Or is it watching Chase half to deal with the fact that he is being blamed for "his" convict escaping from the set? But the ending is where it's at as he discovers something fishy about the situation and possibly the show. To be continued....

Great episode with an even greater exit. Loved the over-the-top exodus by Allison. It was beyond over the top!! But the kicker was playing it up that she took a dump in Randy's urn, which immediately raised a red flag with Chase that this "show" may not be on the up and up. Sure, the shows editors can make it appear that Chase is catching on, but still, they are going too far with how much to push the envelope.

Even though Skylar went way overboard in her confession after getting "caught" in a lie about her husband, I thought she was great. Up till now she had been the dullest "contestant" on the show with no personality. But once the cat was out of the bag, you couldn't contain her and therein lay the problem of pushing too hard on Chase. If I was on the show in the same situation as Chase, I would have been throwing up Red Flags left and right, questioning everything.

The bit with Randy and Wanda was very entertaining. Damn, Wanda can rock a bikini! Yowzza!

Fun episode. Even I wasn't sure who Chase would eliminate from the show because Chase is definitely playing to win. Well, it wasn't completely shocking to see him bump Randy from the show. He was and is the best thing about the show. So damn funny. With Randy out, that paves the way for Lorenzo Lamas to return to the fold. This should definitely be good for some more awkward and funny moments.

Awesome to have Lorenzo back! He is funny without even having to try. There was a moment during the elimination ceremony where everyone that is in on the gag tried their best to keep from laughing at the stupidity that the producers are putting them, i.e....Chase through. Talking to their spirit animal is one of them, but Lorenzo asking 'Lady Justice' if he could come (cum) inside of her is another absurd moment. Their giggle fest reminded me of the episode a few weeks back when Karlee the "deaf girl" nearly blew the entire show when she couldn't stop laughing at her own "singing" through her puppet Mr. Wentworth.

One episode left. I wonder how Chase will react to the revelation about the legitimacy of the show.

I was very excited to see this episode. It's what the entire season is leading up to and how Chase will react upon hearing the news. When he finally realizes that he has been duped and starts crying, I thought he was going to explode in a fit of rage. The editing was great because it kept me totally in the dark about his outcome and really sold it that he was in fact going to have a mental meltdown. In the end, Chase was a good sport about it and I liked the little twist by having his wife flown in and posing as Lady Justice. Great episode that delivered. I was on pins and needles the entire hour, waiting for the big reveal. Did not disappoint at all.

Overall, Season 3 was a great ride. It helps to have a guy or gal to root for to be rewarded at the end with a big, fat paycheck. But the show can't survive on the 'mark' alone, it needs a group of actors that can play the part, bring something to their roles and make it funny without giving anything away. This group of actors did just that. They were all awesome. Gotta go with "Randy", "Chico" and "Lorenzo" as the best of the bunch. This season gets 4 1/2 stars. I hope they continue the series and don't wait 10 years to do this again.

More Mr. Wentworth!!
