Adele to make comeback at Oscars as part of James Bond special tribute?
Adele is rumoured to be returning to the stage at next month’s Oscars as part of a special sequence celebrating 50 years of the James Bond films.
The singer, who has been keeping out of the public eye since the birth of her son, could be making her comeback at the lavish film ceremony.
Speculation has been rife that Adele would appear live at the Academy Awards after Skyfall made it onto the nominations shortlist for Best Original Song.
Media reports are claiming that the star could be invited to perform at next Sunday’s Golden Globes – and if she does Adele could be forced to choose between the two award shows.
Acts who have performed at the Golden Globes aren’t allowed to perform at the Oscars, which is being held on February 24.
The Oscars announced recently that they would be paying tribute to the 50th anniversary of the James Bond film franchise.
‘We are very happy to include a special sequence on our show saluting the Bond films on their 50th birthday,’ said the producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron.
‘Starting with Dr No back in 1962, the 007 movies have become the longest-running motion picture franchise in history and a beloved global phenomenon.’
Nominations for the 85th Academy Awards will be announced on January 10.

I sure hope the show-runner for this years Oscars doesn't have a lead foot when it comes to the fog machine. Hate to have Adele make an appearance only to get obliterated by fog.

Oh good gawd... what a production that was.
I imagine Adele will want it simple... and hopefully they will honor her with that.

I have a feeling Psy....or Kanye West will hijack the moment.

My wife just told me. She's been watching it since the Red Carpet... She says she wants to turn on House Of Lies now, so not sure what will happen.

Stick with the Golden Globes. It's incredibly funny.

Holy crap! That was a big bombshell by Jodie Foster. First she publicly reveals that she is gay (eh. Everyone already knew that), but it sounded like she has now officially retired from movies. She had everyone in the audience in tears. This will be going viral in 3...2....1......

Funniest part of the show (and there were plenty of great moments all night long). But this was tops in my book.

The Epic speech in all its glory. Just bummed that NBC edited out Robert Downey Jr's intro and her career retrospective film montage. Grrr!!

Jennifer Lawrence, Anne Hathaway Take Home Oscar Gold; 'Argo,' 'Life of Pi' Win Big

I wasn't planning on watching the Oscars this year, but I had a lot of stuff to work on that this ended up as background noise while I was working and then suddenly I wasn't even working and just watching the show. No real surprises and Seth did an okay job hosting. He's not the best, but he is far from the worst, that's for sure. A couple of key moments from the night, Jennifer Lawrence falling on her face walking up the steps. And Ben Affleck's speech by far the best of the night.
