Rolling Stones 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time
Never Mind The Bollocks
at #41

Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols has more balls, p*ss and vinegar than pretty much everything that has been released since the Sex Pistols debut IMO. I hold this one right up there with the greatest debuts of all time. I'd probably have to say it even gets a slight edge over Guns N' Roses Appetite For Destruction because this album spawned a new music genre in the form of punk. And what's even more remarkable is how influential Bollocks was over time. It's still the blueprint that any and all punk bands follow. This is pure perfection in every sense of the word...which goes totally against the idea of punk music.

It's just so mind boggling that this is the only studio release. Johhny Rotten on vocals, Steve Jones on Guitar and bass and Paul Cook on drums were the core players for Bollocks. Glen Matlock played bass on Anarchy and Sid Vicious played bass on Bodies. They definitely left a lasting legacy that's still being felt to this day. I get that The Ramones are technically the first Punk band, but the Sex Pistols and their album Bollocks had far more influence on the music landscape IMO.

So many great songs from Bodies to God Save The Queen to Pretty Vacant.

Fave Songs: Every last one of them. MVP goes to....Pretty Vacant.

I voted, but I've only heard a few songs. So 1 + 1 = obvious.
