Roxanne is one of my favorite Steve Martin (http://pennycan.createaforum.com/dvd's-blu-rays/bowfinger-(1999)/msg15171/#msg15171) movies, which showcases his underrated talent at screenwriting. Most people just see him as a Movie Star. Well at least back then that seemed to be the mindset. But the dude can write some great stuff, be it books or screenplays and this is one of his finest. If you know the story of Cyrano de Bergerac, then you know that the Hero C.D. (Steve Martin) of the story has a very big nose and it's this feature that gets in the way of him telling Roxanne (Daryl Hannah (http://pennycan.createaforum.com/dvd's-blu-rays/kill-bill-volume-2-(2004)/msg6091/#msg6091)) exactly how he feels about her. The mark of a good writer is being able to get the audience to care and root for the hero, and Martin does a fantastic job of doing just that. I will also say that his portrayal here is also underrated. He does such a great job that I don't even notice his nose anymore whenever I watch this. I only notice it when the characters bring it up in conversation.

Roxanne is definitely a 'Date Movie', but unlike most films that fit into this genre, there is actually something for both sexes to like about this one. It's one of the better ones for sure and personally, I don't think it's sappy like most people label it being. Just a great flick and I highly recommend this as a Rent. Personally, I own it.

Best line in the movie? That's easy. It's......

Worms, Roxanne! Worms!

Hahahaha. Love it!

I had no idea whatsoever. She hid it well. I always did get that she was unusually shy, but I never put two and two together.
