From the creators of South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, comes the hilarious musical play The Book of Mormon. This has been a hot ticket since inception and rightly so. My wife and I got to attend this, this past Sunday evening. It’s very funny, very entertaining, very bold, and very worth it. While it’s not critical to know about Mormonism, it does help a great deal to ‘get’ many of the underlying jokes. Read the basics in wiki before attending (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mormons). The show seems to touch every perspective of the religion including its roots. But a majority of the show is about a group of ‘elders’ (young recruits) assigned to a 2 year mission trip to Africa. The sets are inventive and amazing to look at. The orchestra and singing were clear and concise. The dialog get’s muddled on occasion. The two main characters are diametrically opposite and continually produce the conflict and the laughs associated with it. There are quite a few other main characters that make this an huge production.

I can’t recommend checking this show out enough. Clearly one of my favorite shows. It is worth the ticket price.
