There is nothing original about Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me as it's the same plot using recycled jokes from International Man Of Mystery (http://pennycan.createaforum.com/dvd's-blu-rays/austin-powers-international-man-of-mystery-(1997)/msg17564/#msg17564). There is no disguising the jokes either from Dr Evil's "Shush / Zip It" gag to Austin's "Do I Make You  H o r n y " gag to Musafa talking his way through his painful death. So with this basically being the same movie, how come I like this and actually have this as my favorite in the entire series? That's easy, her name be Heather Graham. I've had a huge crush on her for years, so I am kind of biased in picking this as my fave. But beyond that, I think her character Felicity Shagwell is just a much better character than Elizabeth Hurley's Vanessa Kensington.

Each film has its pros and cons, but with Heather, no doubt The Spy Who Shagged Me takes the lead. The other reason why this is my favorite is the addition of Rob Lowe as Young Number 2 and of course Verne Troyer as Mini-Me and Mike Myers as.....Fat Bastard, as disgusting as he is. Even with the recycled jokes, there are plenty of new gags that work. From the musical numbers with Dr. Evil rapping as well as his version of Joan Osborne's One Of Us to the "air quotes" to the "Alan Parsons Project". The Moon Unit Alpha and Moon Unit Zappa joke always cracks me up. I would have loved to be in the same room with Moon Unit the first time she watched the movie and seeing how she reacted to the joke.

Along with some good jokes, there are a couple of stand out, laugh out loud set pieces. I'm referring to Dr. Evil and Scott on The Jerry Springer Show. Very funny stuff. Also good was the fight sequence between Austin and Mini-Me.  Also, the soundtrack is fantastic and one that I can listen to over and over with Lenny Kravitz American Woman and Madonna's Beautiful Stranger. As before, I own this one and will say this is a definite Rent for those that have never seen the movie and a Buy for die-hard fans.

One last thing, be sure to stay to the very end of the credits for one last joke, which is pretty good.

I loved the casting of Rob Lowe as the younger Number Two.

I don't know if you ever saw the show "Hollywood Treasure," it's kind of like Pawnstars and it's about movie memorabilia and one dude had the Liz Hurley fembot bust.  It was strange.

If you haven't done so already, you gotta watch Parks and Recreation (http://pennycan.createaforum.com/tv/parks-and-recreation-(season-4)/msg5272/#msg5272). As good as Amy Poehler is, it was Rob that literally saved the show in my book. He is so damn funny in it. Also, check out his book here (http://pennycan.createaforum.com/books/stories-i-only-tell-my-friends-rob-lowe/msg838/#msg838). Great read.

That list of books I need to read is never getting shorter.

Oh god, I forgot about The Outsiders, too.  Don't remember the last time I saw that.

What the hell. I did a review for The Outsiders and now I can't find it anywhere. It's not even coming up in search. Ugh!

I remember reading that book in school.  We had to read it for class, and this was Rome so the teacher was constantly having to explain all these Americanisms and old-timey-ness like being able to get burgers at Dairy Queen.

Yeah, I know.  I don't remember ANYTHING about the book outside of having no idea how to say "soc" (I never would have guessed "so-shee" though).

I love the "Shush / Zip It" gag. Makes me laugh out loud, just thinking about it.

Note: just noticed the rotating ad... Today was for 'Lose Belly Fat Naturally'.
