Wayne's World 2 is not as horrible as most people will have you believe, but it's nowhere near as enjoyable as Wayne's World (http://pennycan.createaforum.com/dvd's-blu-rays/wayne's-world-(1992)/msg17918/#msg17918) for sure. I think for me, it just looks and feels like a 'paycheck' movie. You know, recycle the old jokes and add a plot about throwing a musical festival, i.e....Waynestock. Although there are a couple of good jokes that are funny, as a whole the movie doesn't have the charm of its predecessor.

I just didn't think the whole dream sequence with Jim Morrison was necessary to motivate Wayne (Mike Meyers) to throw a concert. It just became overkil going to that well over and over in the movie. Too much naked Indian ass. (http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i266/Chiprocks1/Smilies/0%20All%20Smilies/puke.gif) As for Garth (Dana Carvey), I did like his scenes with Honey Hornée (Kim Basinger). Their scenes were by far the funniest. And how can you go wrong with Basinger on screen? She's a mega-babe! If she was a President, she's be Babreham Lincoln. Sorry, couldn't resist.

Chris Farley returns, but as a different character this time playing a 'Roadie in training'. Taking over as the movie's 'sleazy guy' is Christopher Walken and not to be outdone are cameos from Drew Barrymore and Aerosmith. Worth a Rent for  h a r d c o r e  fans of Wayne and Garth.

And of course, I think it was brilliant that they cast the d r u g dealer from "Withnail and I" as Del.

As much as I thought the Jim Morrison dream sequence was redundant, it has kind of whetted my appetite to watch The Doors with Val Kilmer. But I'm not sure if I want to really watch that tonight. It's buried among my thousands of DVD's and I really don't wanna have to hunt it down right.
