I love Westerns in general and I liked that Back to the Future Part III for the most part, is set in the late 1800's. It's a completely different movie from the first two films but it retains that tone and vibe of Back to the Future (http://pennycan.createaforum.com/dvd's-blu-rays/back-to-the-future-(1985)/msg18396/#msg18396). Anyway, what I like the most about Part III is that for all intents and purposes, the movie is about Doc and his budding romance with Clara (Mary Steenburgen), who I thought was a great addition to the series. I really liked her character a lot and was the perfect actor to play opposite Doc. It was great the Christopher Lloyd got to carry the third installment in the way that he did. It's a bonus that we got a love story out of it as well.
Part I and Part II (http://pennycan.createaforum.com/dvd's-blu-rays/back-to-the-future-part-ii-(1989)/msg18418/#msg18418) each gave us the best Cliffhangers ever. So, what could Part III do to make it memorable? Have everyone (Mary, Jennifer, the audience) believe that Doc and Clara are long gone, never to be heard from again and then have them appear out of nowhere on the track in a Train Time Machine. Winner! But reveal at the very end that the Trail can also fly. EPIC!! This was a great way to end the series and wrap up everything in a nice bow. Definitely a Buy.
