I was hopeful that the series would be on the upswing after enjoying American Pie 2. Sadly, that's not the case here at all. I'm actually surprised that American Wedding is just as bad as American Pie, and that's saying a lot. What's ironic and funny is that I thought the mimimal inclusion of half the cast in the second film is what helped AP2 succeed and here I am pointing out the fact that those same actors are no shows, plus a couple of others, is the reason why this is one sh*tty movie. Pun intended. This one isn't about the guys trying to get laid, which I'm okay with it not being about that. I mean, you can only run with the same plot for so long before it's ridiculous. No, this one was about the obstacles of planning and executing a wedding with some gross-out humor thrown in. Only problem is, the obstacles weren't all that meaningful and didn't do anything for me and certainly nothing for the story.

This is just not a good movie at all and there were very few laughs to be found. Definitely a movie to Skip. there is nothing entertaining about this one at all. I'm dreading watching American Reunion even more now because I have zero faith in this franchise of producing anything remotely good. If there is one thing that I did like about American Wedding, it was seeing January Jones in it, which took me totally off guard. The movie still isn't much, but her scenes were actually good.
