I will be the first to admit that I thought Clerks was overrated when I finally got around to seeing it on VHS tape way back in the day when I finally rented a copy. I think the problem for me was that leading up to finally watching it, the hype had been building to unrelastic heights. So, obviously my expectations were never going to be met. And then I just forgot about the movie and Kevin Smith for a long time. When DVD finally came around, most of the stuff was way overpriced. So I did all my shopping at Mom and Pop shops and bought used and came across a new copy of Clerks at a drastic discount. Around this time I was buying whatever DVD's I could find and decided the price of this DVD was too good to pass up.

Watching it again that day, I suddenly "got" what everyone was talking about because my expectations for the movie were already nonexistent. I was able to enjoy the movie for what it was and since then I have watched Clerks countless times and it gets better with each viewing. What is it that I like about the movie? All of it. The characters, the dialogue, the setting, the simplicity of how it was filmed.

As for the 10th Anniversary Edition, it's packed with a lot of extra goodies that justify's double dipping again. Along with the Theatrical Cut of the film, you get Clerks: The First Cut, Trailer, Music Video, Promos and skits and the biggest selling point: Snowball: The Story Of Clerks. This is a hell of an entertaining documentary about Clerks and how Kevin Smith came to write and film his debut. This is a must-have for any Kevin Smith fan. Even if your not a fan of his, the documentary is worth the price of admission.

Definitely a Buy.
