No available episode link yet. Will post as soon as it's up.

Anyway, welcome back Arrow. Arrow does in just one episode what Agents of SHIELD has not been able to do....make the universe feel like it's populated with actual superheroes. It's just a fun environment to play in as we know that there are other superheroes beyond the 'Hood' and we get a taste of a new one at the very end with the arrival of Black Canary, which I didn't see coming at all. I just figured that Roy was on the verge of getting a serious beat-down when Canary makes her stage entry. Can't wait to see more. Also making this a solid episode was of course Summer Glau. Me so happy! It was great to see that Oliver's financial backer was none other than Walter, who I thought was gone from the show all together. Not sure how much time he will actually spend in Starling City, but it's nice knowing that he could pop up on a semi regular basis. The final scene is kind of a jumping off point as Oliver is on the verge of creating a diff from the Hood and with that finally comes his new moniker...the Green Arrow.

The best thing about this episode was not Ben Turner / Bronze Tiger (Michael Jai White) , who on the surface looked basically like "Wolverine" with his claws. I'm not familiar with the character so his inclusion didn't mean a whole lot to me. I'm sure there are fans out there that are very happy though. He's not a bad character, but he did come across being one that doesn't really have much respect from comic book fans. How else to explain that no one talks about him? Anyway, the best comes at the very end and that's when Laurel sets up Arrow by trapping him insider the police station with a full-on SWAT team with laser sights aimed squarely at him. I don't have a clue how he is going to escape this scenario. It would take an explosion within the building to get him out of there. Can't wait to see next weeks episode.......

We get more Black Canary in this one, but it's still not enough. The character has always been a favorite of mine when it comes strictly to Pin-Up art and is one of the more popular female characters out there. There is something incredible about her look that projects both sensuality and danger, all wrapped up in a nice package. So seeing Caity Lotz bring her to life on the small screen is damn good and she looks damn fine! This weeks villain is the Dollmaker (Michael Eklund). Never heard of him so I don't know if he exist in the DC Universe or was created specifically for the show.

I knew it! I knew that Sebastian (Kevin Alejandro) would turn out to be the Big Villain of Starling City. I just didn't know what alter ego he would be playing. When the character revealed himself, I first thought it was the Scarecrow, but with a slightly different mask. I've never heard of Brother Blood before. So, not sure if this is using a pre-existing DC character or not.

The best thing about the episode was actually the big reveal that the Black Canary is Sarah Lance, as in Laurel's presumed dead sister, as in Oliver's girlfriend that drowned on the same boat that sank out in sea. You know, the same boat that washed Ollie up on that evil Island that he spent 5 years on. The reason why this was a shocked to me is that the character of Sarah was played by another actress. So naturally I never saw this coming. An even bigger reveal is that Ollie knew she was alive all along because we see that she too was on the Island in a flashback scene. Awesome episode!

Fantastic episode that was both exciting to watch as well as heartfelt. I really wasn't expecting to see Sarah finally confront her father so soon to tell him she is in fact still alive. Figured they would drag it out a bit longer. But having him as a target to get to her pretty much necessitated that the reveal happen sooner rather than later. Watching Black Canary and Arrow fight as a team was pretty damn cool in this one. Sure, we've gotten a few of those scenes prior, but in this one it just seemed to really click. Very fun and entertaining for sure. I also liked that the flashbacks dealt primarily with Sarah and how she was rescued. The one "downside" is that they ended this episode exactly as they ended it the previous episode with Oliver discovering that Sarah was alive and on the cargo ship. This little "re-ending" was and is very reminiscent of LOST, which was notorious for doing this.

Nice change of pace by having this episode take place in Russia as Diggle, Oliver and Felicity break into the Gulag to rescue Lyla, who is held captive with Deadshot in tow. It's ironic that Diggle would have to "partner" up with him to make it out of the Prison alive. He does impart a little gift to Diggle by giving him the name of H.I.V.E. as the one that ordered the contract on Diggle's brother. Kind of strange to see the Black Canary "disappear" in the present day story arc, but have Sarah still around on the ship with Ollie during the flashbacks.

Pretty big episode for a number of reasons. First was seeing The Count (Seth Gabel) and the Dollmaker (Michael Eklund) escaping prison due to the man-made earthquake when Malcolm Merlyn set out to destroy the Glades 6 months earlier. Too bad that the Count didn't even last the entire episode. It would have been great to see Seth get more future episodes, but the purpose of his return was to Oliver to break his 'no killing' code and with Felicity caught in the cross-hairs, there really was no other alternative. But the biggest reveal came at the end when Malcolm Merlyn resurfaces and confronts Moira Queen. Now I had always anticipated his return, even though he was "dead". The twist on top of this twist was finding out that Thea is his daughter. Now, this really wasn't all that much of a surprise because when Moira admitted having an affair to her kids, it didn't take a genius to put two and two together.

Elsewhere (back on the Island via flashbacks), we are getting closer and closer to the moment where Slade will don the Deathstroke Mask now that his face is deteriorating at a rapid pace.

The Scientist

I'm glad that I avoid spoilers, promo's and trailers. If I paid attention to any of those, I would have been deprived of a pretty cool surprise in The Scientist. Turns out that the 'Scientist' is none other than Barry Allen. For those that are unaware, he is The Flash, another big Superhero in the DC Universe. This episode was pretty big in setting up a lot of things, which actually felt like a Season Finale more than anything. So, this makes the episode even more epic in my eyes. Along with the introduction of Barry Allen / The Flash, we also see the "birth" of Deathstroke when Slade is injected with the serum. Awesome cliffhanger as well. Having Diggle and Felicity kidnapping Barry and bring him to the Arrow's lair in the hope that he can save a dying Oliver is exactly how you end an episode. Can't wait to see what happens next.

This episode SCREAMED backdoor Pilot for what will eventually be the Flash spin-off and I'm 100% on board with it. I'm already there. They just need to film, edit and put it on the air so I can watch it. Casting Grant Gustin as Barry Allen is a great choice, although I do suspect that they are trying to grab fans of Andrew Garfield from Spider-Man fame as they both look a lot alike. I recognized him when it was revealed he was in fact Barry. I just couldn't place where I had seen him before. I had to google his name to realize that he had guest-starred on 90210. Anyway, THIS episode was everything and more and THIS episode points out why Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is failing big time.

Three Ghosts
(http://i.imgur.com/SW1TShG.gif)

The Three Ghosts refers to Shado, Slade and Tommy, each one a manifestation of Oliver and his survivor's guilt as he had a hand in each ones death. As Oliver tries to come to terms with what he did to each one of them, Sebastian Blood is on the verge of creating an army using his serum to make them super-strong. The episode is good, but it's the final 5 minutes (as is always the case with this show) that takes it to another level and gives us a worthy cliffhanger. First off, it's revealed that Sebastian isn't the "Boss" but is in fact working for......Slade. Yep, the same person that Oliver thought was dead. And yes, he's in Starling City. The next big moment and the best by far is that we get to see Barry Allen and the accident that will change his life forever. I didn't expect to this see on Arrow. I figured they would save it for his own series. The last scene of the episode was a long time coming.....it's Oliver finally putting on a legit mask to hide his identity. As much as I dig the show, the grease paint mask was always laughable in concealing his identity.

Very cool to see Sean Maher pop up on the show. Without knowing anything about the character, my immediate reaction was "don't kill him off". Why? Well that should be obvious. I want to see him and Summer Glau share a scene together. Any fan of Firefly will want the same thing. Good thing is that he survived by episodes end and is now incarcerated. So, we may get that mini Firefly reunion down the road. Turns out that Sean is playing Mark Scheffer / Shrapnel, who has a history in the DC Comics Universe. Personally, I've never heard of the character till now.

A decent episode that was more about discrediting Laurel since she was getting closer and closer to uncovering the true identity of Sebastian Blood. It wasn't hard to discredit her with her drug use and the fact that she "killed" the Mask man, only to reveal that it was one of his soldiers taking the fall to throw Arrow and Laurel off the track. It worked......for the time being. Well, at least this episode finally gave us Slade / Deathstroke in full armor. Can't wait for the showdown with Arrow.

Not the best episode out there. It was average at best, but it did however give us two big reveals. Literal reveals. The first one caught me totally off guard is the very reason why it worked so well. With Arrow needing Roy's help, when Oliver steps into camera frame without the mask on, my reaction to this was echoed by Roy. 'Whoa' indeed. The second reveal concerned Laurel. With her pill popping and booze hounding causing her to spiral out of control, Oliver calls someone on the phone to come help her. My first thought was "why is he calling her dad?". That was already a failed attempt on his part. But I was able to figure it out beforehand that it would end up being Sara (Black Canary), her long thought-dead sister. Fade to black. Literally. Of course Laurel would pass out from the booze just before she could focus on Sara's face. Gotta wait till the next episode to see how this plays out.

Awesome episode that had a lot of sh*t happening from all sides. Where to start? Might as well start with the introduction of a new character into the Arrowverse. That would be Nyssa al Ghul (Katrina Law), the daughter of Ra’s al Ghul, the leader of the League of Assassins. Nyssa is back in Starling City to reclaim Sara Lance / Black Canary. I'm not familiar with the comics mythlogoy regarding these two specific characters and what their history is, but my eyes popped out and my jaw hit the floor when we got a little taste of Girl Superhero action on Girl Superhero. Yowzza. That took me by surprise.

Another bombshell is that Felicity discovered the secret that Moira was keeping about Thea's real birth father. Naturally she confronts Moira about it and of course is threatened to keep the secret as well. So, I was kind of shocked that she didn't and decided to tell Oliver anyway. Laurel learns that Sara is indeed alive. But instead of a happy reunion, the crack is wide open and looks to stay that way for some time now that Laurel blames her for everything. This obviously sends Sara running out the door (some superhero, huh?) and into the arms of Oliver. I was wondering if they would ever rekindle their romance. Not sure if it is permanent, but it's nice to know that Sara will be sticking around in Starling City. Poor Felicity. She's not going to take the news of them back together well. If it wasn't already, this is now a full-on Soap Opera.

A solid episode just got bumped up a notch with the final scene, one that left me with a big ass grin on my face. The moment we have all been waiting for finally takes place when Slade Wilson and Oliver come face to face. What made it even better is that it wasn't even something I was expecting to happen. There were no warnings or anything. So yeah....HELL YEAH! Can't wait to see the next episode and see where they go from here. As for the rest of the episode, I liked that this one was kinda about Felicity and how she is feeling a bit marginalized (in her own mind) with the rest of the group and their military background. Also of note was the casting of Robert Knepper as William Tockman / Clock King. I approve of this. We also (finally) get an answer to the relationship between Sin (Bex Taylor-Klaus) and Sara Lance / Black Canary. So, apparently Sin's father crashed on the Island and his dying breath was for Sara to look after her. There ya go.

This one was a long time coming. Any fan of the series obviously has been waiting to see how Oliver and Slade's friendship would turn to bitter enemies. We all knew Slade's motivation (being one royally p*ssed off dude upon learning that Ollie was "responsible" for Shado's death). But we have had to sit through a lot of back story and buildup for the inevitable face off. The entire episode is more flashback as we see the events leading up to Slade turning on his "friend".

We get a few punches thrown here and there, but the big beatdown doesn't happen.....not yet anyway. Slade takes over the ship and is running things on his own terms and he has Oliver locked up as his prisoner. Sara is now stranded back on the Island with a handful of prisoners that have escaped. That should be an interesting thing to see played out. The episode was solid, but we are going to have to wait a bit longer before we finally get to see THE fight between Ollie and Slade. One of the cooler things about how this episode was structured was seeing an out of control Slade completely losing it during the flashbacks, juxtaposed with current day scenes of a calm, cool and calculated Slade in the presense of the Queen family. We know he is dangerous and that's why the scenes work incredibly well.

The long awaited Suicide Squad episode came and went. I don't know if it's the CW's plan to do a spin-off of the Suicide Squad or not, but this episode definitely played like a backdoor Pilot for one. I've waited awhile for this episode, unfortunately it didn't meet my expectation of what I had hoped it would be. Even though it was cool to see Diggle in "command" of Deadshot, Bronze Tiger and Shrapnel, it just didn't feel like it was big enough to meet the hype. Also, "killing" off Shrapnel barely into the mission made the team even smaller. I for one don't even think for a second that he is dead. We never see it happen on screen. So, he will for sure return down the road. There was a lot of speculation as to whether or not the girl in one of the cells was Harley Quinn. We never "see" her beyond a silhouette, but hearing her voice, it's definitely HQ and I hope she makes a full appearance on Arrow sooner, rather than later.

Helena Bertinelli returns! That can only mean one thing: Smackdown! What could be better than The Huntress Vs Black Canary? Nothing hotter than two incredibly hot chicks dressed in leather, wearing mask, beating the crap out of each other. All in the name of fan service to the comic book characters. Yes, it was somewhat short, but it still was fun to see. What use to be a problem regarding secondary characters and now taking on leading role. So much so that it kind of feels like Arrow is being reduced to a secondary character himself. I wonder if they (shows writers, show runners) are gearing up for some kind of spin-off involving Black Canary, The Huntress, etc... We already know that The Flash is coming soon, but I hope that don't expand the universe too fast. Besides, I like having all these characters populating this show right now, even if Arrow doesn't get as much screen time.

With a title like that, you damn well know that Slade Wilson is going to be front and center. Objective: Make Oliver Queen's life crumble all around him without even throwing a single punch. I wasn't expecting it to play out this way, but I'm glad that it was more psychological because he gives Slade a bit more depth as a strategist and instead of just a behemoth grunt. So in a nutshell, he basically tells Thea who her real father is, which alienates her from Oliver as he can't be trusted. Slade tells Laurel that Oliver is in fact Arrow and this is bound to have a rippling effect as well. But the biggest (if that wasn't it) play was basically stealing Oliver's Company from under him as we find out that  Isabel Rochev (Summer Glau) has been working with Slade all along. With her as CEO now, I'm hoping we will see more of Summer from here on out. One thing I didn't really care for was Deathstroke's mask basically being a "Hockey Mask". I much rather see him wearing the "fabric" one...or whatever you would call it. It just looks cooler.

It seems that the writers of the show are doing everything they can to avoid any kind of epic showdown between Arrow and Deathstroke. I guess they are at least trying to save it for the Season Finale, because so far, all we have gotten is 'just a taste' in a couple of episodes, 2 in particular for this episode. As short as the fights have been, especially in Under the Hood, it was still damn good to see. I liked that DS dispatches of Arrow, Diggle and Canary pretty easily during the first fight. But it's what's coming next that has me pumped as DS is literally building himself an army of super soldiers using the same formula that gives him his strength. Now we can add Isabel Rochev to the army since she was seemingly shot and killed by Diggle at the end. But with her laying on the table, blood pouring from her eyes, it doesn't take much to deduce she will have the same power soon. Can't wait! Really enjoyed Laurel's story as she finally figures out" that Arrow and Ollie are one and the same, which also means she knows her sister is Black Canary too.

This episode started out as nothing more than a filler episode as it's basically the gang tracking and trying to contain a rampaging Roy. I'm still not a fan of the actor playing the part. He's not a good actor. With that said, this was an average episode at best. But then the last 5 minutes happened, which completely....COMPLETELY changed the game in a way that I didn't see coming at all. First off, via flashback, we learn that Oliver got a chick pregnant. Big whoop, huh? Well, we come to learn that Moira (Ollie's mother) sent the girl out of town to convince Oliver that she miscarried and to lie about it. So, her big secret is that she has been hiding Ollie's kid from him for the past 7 years. In trying to repair her current family (Thea and Ollie), she decides she's going to tell him the truth. Only problem is the car gets sideswiped. Fade to black....

....regain consciousness. Moira, Thea and Oliver are bound. Slade Wilson stands over them in a scene very similar to what happened on the Island when Oliver had to choose between Sara or Shado. Now he must choose between Moira and Thea. Naturally the mother gives up her life to protect her children. But it was still shocking to see and the way in which she died (by sword) is going to be a scene that's talked about for quite some time. They gave her an epic death scene for sure. So, the secret of Oliver's child stays with Moira, but for how long? It will come to light eventually.

Another great episode that offered up a few memorable scenes that people will ALWAYS remember. The first was how Laurel announces to Oliver that she knows that he is the Arrow. I thought it was a great way to do it by having Diggle tranq him and having Oliver waking up in his own lair. The way it was set up, we are made to believe it was Slade Wilson that kidnapped him. So when Oliver wakes up and sees Laurel standing before him....it worked to perfection. The second great scene was when Oliver confronts Sebastian Blood and tells him that he is in fact  the Arrow. Too many people now know his identity. But I think in this case, it was definitely justified because of the knowledge that Oliver knew Blood had a hand in his mother's demise. The third great scene was when the Blood Army has been unleashed and we see one of the minions attack Diggle, the camera zooms in on Isabel Rochev (Summer Glau), it's revealed that she is wearing a alternate version of the Deathstroke mask that only covers up the top half of her face. This way we can still see who it is. I love it!! As for the Army revealing themselves at the appointed time, they ALL should have been pulling out 'Joe Carroll' masks instead. Just sayin'. It was very reminiscent of The Following.

All action, all the time. This could have easily served as a Season Finale, right down to the finale scene. More on that in a bit. With the city in turmoil and Slade Wilson's goons terrorizing everyone, the situation looks dire. Enter......the cure. That was the entire episode's main objective. To retrieve the case carrying the cure that would level the playing field. I was just surprised that it was Sebastian Blood that came to the aide of Arrow by handing over the case. I kinda suspected this was going to be his swan song and when Isabel showed up and skewered him kabob style, it was a done deal. But then again, in the world of comic books, is anyone really ever dead? One cool thing about this episode in particular was watching Laurel of all people talking Sara off the metaphorical "ledge" in her lowest moment as a 'Superhero'. Even cooler was that Laurel, having just watched her sister save a life, being the one to name her the 'Canary'. Another cool moment was seeing Meriln as the one that saves Thea. But she is not quick to forgive and forget. When she fires the gun at him, we are made to believe she was killing him. My money is on her shooting someone off camera wearing a Deathstroke Mask. FYI, Summer Glau looks so f*cking hawt dressed from head to toe in leather! Yowzza!!

Unthinkable
(http://i.imgur.com/SW1TShG.gif)

The SHOWDOWN that we have literally been waiting for the past 2 seasons FINALLY happens as Arrow and Deathstroke go one on one. We don't just get one Showdown....we get TWO! Both the current story line and the flashback story line converge together. The juxtaposition of both was a great way to play them both out. In the flashback sequence, we finally get to see Oliver taking out Slade's eye and in the current story line, we get to see if Oliver will become the murderer that Slade has gambled everything on. He failed of course. I just love where Slade eventually ends up at after being caught and taken down. To have it revealed that Slade now resides in ARGUS' Maximum Prison is one thing, but to have said Prison literally on the very same Island that he and Oliver spent 5 years trying to get off was.....perfect.

What's also made this a stand out episode is that they tease us of what's to come next season as we see the start of a story line that will track Oliver and Amanda's back story in Hong Kong. I can't wait for Season 3 to roll out. Overall, the episode, as great as it was, did come in a bit under the previous episode. But I still enjoyed seeing how they wrote Sara's character off as she rejoins the League of Assassins. I like how they set up Thea's future by doing the 'Unthinkable' of joining forces with her father Merlin, this coming after she actually shot him with the intention of killing him. The cliffhanger with Laurel's father collapsing and bleeding out wasn't what I saw coming. So, I hope they have something good in store for that one. And finally, the "relationship" between Oliver and Felicity ratchet's up a few notches, but I do think the writers are going to try and keep them from getting together any time soon so as not to f*ck with the sexual tension that has been driving the series thus far. One downside was of course killing off Isabel in such a lame way. That of course means the end to Summer Glau's run on the show. Sigh.

As for the entire season this year, it has been a great ride. Now bring on Season 3!!!!
