Looks pretty cool. I was saying last week to some people that the Marvel movies being shared meant that they could get away from the superhero style trap and venture into different territory. "Thor 2" doesn't look like a superhero movie, "Guardians Of The Galaxy' is like Star Wars, "Ant-Man" will be a heist flick-- I'm not sure what this is going to be, but it definitely feels like a natural progression. So even when heroes become passe, they've still got all this fertile SF territory to explore.

Im Ok with them going in in a different direction for all the upcoming movies from Marvel. I think that's what bugs Mac more than anything in that they all feel alike from one character to the next.

Now THAT I can see.

In one sense, yea…. It seems like all super heroes have a special power and they have a super nemesis. So they do seem all alike to me.
I try to watch these super hero movies to see if they bring anything different to the table. And I have enjoyed a couple. The first Iron Man and Thor (and maybe Captain America). I think I enjoy these because Iron Man is a man with a very cool weapon. His character is pretty fun to watch too. Thor is God-like to me which falls into Mythology, about the only kind of fantasy films I like. I liked Thor too because his powers were ripped from him and became more human and humorous. The rest of ‘em, I just find odd. Batman, Superman, Spiderman, Green Lantern, etc., just creep me out with the signature look (costumes). From a non-fan, this just ruins it from the get go, because in my mind, these guys have serious mental issues to dress up. I can’t get into the characters at all.
I don’t mean to sound like I’m crapping on these types of movies. It’s just my perspective. I think movies have niche’s, and those particular kind just don’t fit my particular tastes.
I get it when other people don’t get into certain comedies, horror or sci-fi films. Some may never like any movie in that genre, other times there might be a certain formula that at least works to entertain the critical.
