I would say that Wrath of the Titans is better than Clash Of The Titans (http://pennycan.createaforum.com/dvd's-blu-rays/clash-of-the-titans-(2010)/msg20182/#msg20182). But it's still not a good movie at all. The thing that makes this "better" is the eye candy decorating the film. But the story is really weak. The thing about stories based in Greek Mythology, usually involving Gods is that it they use it as a crutch to save all humanity.

It is frowned upon among writers when a story that focuses on a human character sets out on a journey to 'Slay the Dragon' or whatever the obstacle is put in front of him doesn't deliver when they (writers) use an 'out' by using a God to come down and save the day at the very end. It makes everything that's come before seem pointless and a waste of time. Why go through all of this if the human is going to "fail"? I'd accept it if it were truly the 'end of the world' and all is lost. But to have Zeus, Hades and in the case of Perseus, using the Thunderbolt to destroy Kronos. It's cheating in my eyes. I get that this is really the only thing that would conceivably slay Kronos. But the fun is seeing one little human using his ingenuity to solve the problem by using something "human" to take down the giant. Kind of like David Vs. Goliath and the sling shot. You get what I mean. Anyway...

Overall, I just found Wrath to pretty damn boring for a 'High Gloss Spectacle'. Eye candy alone is not a movie make. There needs to be some story in place with characters that we can care about and root for. This one didn't have it. Well, I did like the Special Effects. That's gotta count for something. Right? Skip this one. Stick with the Trailer and nothing more.
