The promos looked very promising a few months back, so I was very enthusiastic to see what the show would in fact be like. I liked it a lot. It's great to see Michael J. Fox back on TV again and it's very brave of him to do so in his condition. I think what makes the show work, even after just one episode is that his humor is alive a well and it's very self-deprecating. I also like the cast that makes up his family. I'm familiar with the wife played by Betsy Brandt, the aunt played by Katie Finneran and daughter played by Juliette Goglia. The other two kids, I have no idea. I hope people give this one a chance as I want to see it succeed.

I was curious if Tracy Pollen would make an appearance on the show. They didn't waste any time getting her for a cameo. I was actually surprised to see her because it was unexpected since I never see her on anything else. I loved the scenes she shares with Michael. It's fantastic and there is the possibility that she will pop up from time to time given that she is a "neighbor" of theirs now. Another funny episode all around. I'm just not gonna hold my breath that NBC won't drop the ax on this show, just like they did with Go On.

I think that NBC is committed to the 22 episodes, or that they are if the ratings stay at their current level (about 2. something, which is really saying something about the state of TV today).  I'm interested in checking the show out.

Good episode, but it was middle of the road when it came to "parenting" their kids. I did like Mike's advice to his younger son to just say "You're right. I'm wrong. I'm sorry" as a way to "win" an argument. Never really quite works out as well as you may think it will. Loved the ending with Mike, having just bought a guitar, rockin' out. It's not the best playing mind you, but for any fan of Back To The Future, you will get a kick out of him holding and playing a guitar.

Marginally funny. It was just okay. I wasn't expecting to see Anne Heche join the show for an extended arc.

A couple of good moments, I liked the puns segment about Horses. Funny. The payoff to Leigh's book Mane Attraction comes at the end when she is reading in front of the class. They need to expand the older sons story-line. There is potential there with him trying to start his own "business". Overall, a solid episode.

Hahahahaha. The karaoke scene was both insanely funny and a train wreck at the same time. Annie doing her best version of Pat Benatar was awesome. Her version of Lionel Richie's All Night Long.....not so much. I'm guessing it was intentionally bad. But it's when Mike jumps up on stage to "defend" her from Doug that made me very uncomfortable. Little did he know that he was suppose to do the 'Jambo Jambo' part. Funny episode all around.

Best episode yet and I don't know why. Maybe it had to do with Leigh crashing over at Mike's place and taking over as if it were her house. The stripper pole and her ability to "dance" was particularly funny.....especially the squeaking sound as she slid down said pole. But the scene of the night went to Mike himself when he falls asleep on air in the middle of his 'hard hitting' interview with Chris Christie. Hahahaha.

Good one. I particularly liked the little kid just roaming the house, looking for stuff that the parents aren't "using" anymore as a way to prove a point that they should be giving his toys away. Annie trying to bond with her daughter was also good, especially when she dose the "worm" dance which has disastrous results.

When it comes to Thanksgiving episodes for any series, I unfairly compare it to one of the best and that was from Friends. So, by comparison, this one was kinda flat. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't memorable in any way shape or form. I will say that it at least produced one hear-felt scene between Mike and Charles Grodin, who plays his father. Very touching. But beyond that, the episode was meh. Candice Bergen was okay.

As far as Christmas episodes go, I'd say that they did a good job with this one. Not the greatest, but definitely one that I wasn't expecting. I'm not the biggest fan of Sting, but even I thought that his guest-staring role here was pretty good. Not a cameo either but given a good chunk of film time. The inside jokes about his songs were pretty funny. Even better since he was the one telling them. The question is, how did Sting end up doing this show? He's not one to do episodic TV and I can't think of anything that's he's done lately to suggest that he is now heading to TV on a permanent basis.

Party

An okay episode. Kind of saw the ending coming a mile a way with Leigh and Harris hooking up, which is something that is needed to give these two characters something more to do on the show. Beyond that, a very average episode. The kids party did have potential, but it was squandered with the 'sex talk'.

I thought it was damn funny in Michael's reaction to making a new few and even funnier in that Annie was playing his wing-man to get him to make said friend. The running gag with Ian and Jack and the computer was also funny. But the funniest bit was Leigh playing along that she was a coke using  h o o k e r , for the benefit of Eve trying to impress a guy she liked as the best joke of the night.

Sochi

After a couple of lackluster episode, the past two have shown an upswing, especially this one. The cast is gelling at the right time. I thought this was a great episode, especially with the plot invovling Annie "supporting" Eve in a beauty contest just for the sole purpose of "beating some b*tches". Funny stuff. Just crazy to see Juliette Goglia all grown up now. First time I ever saw her in anything was in CSI years ago as some child psycho. She's great in this one. The Sochi plot was also good as it gave Anne Heche more screen time.

NBC Yanks 'The Michael J. Fox Show' (http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/nbc-yanks-michael-j-fox-677629)

I was wondering what had happened to the show and my suspicion was correct. I'm not surprised one bit that it did get pulled. What bums me out is that they did it before we could get to Christopher Lloyd's episode. Sigh. Click link for their on set reunion pic. Hopefully NBC will find a spot to burn off the remaining episodes.

Yeah, it's called DVD... though it feels like ages since I've watched a DVD set with "unaired episodes."  I must be picking the right shows to watch.
