I absolutely love Oh, God!. I saw this in the theater a handful of times when I was just a kid and still to this day, I'm a huge fan of the movie. Right off the bat, you just can't go wrong with George Burns as the Almighty One. The sight of him, in the clothes he chooses to wear and that golf hat is perfection. But it's his voice (George's actual voice) that is priceless. Prior to this movie coming out, I had no idea who John Denver was. A couple of years later when I got "older" and saw that he was a singer, I thought he had gone from the acting business to the music business. Haha. I was such a noob! Denver was the perfect choice for the role of Jerry Landers and had fantastic chemistry with Burns.

Anyway, I think the movie still holds up extremely well even now, despite ot having all the tell tale signs of a '70's flick. It is also a great 'message' movie without it ever coming across as being preachy. As I said before, I love the movie and it still puts a smile on my face every time. There are a lot of great, memorable lines in this one and Burns has plenty of great witticism throughout that I still quote from time to time even to this day. Teri Garr and Paul Sorvino are great as well. Definitely worth a Rent. For me, this is a Buy.
