3D Printed Guitars

3D printing is becoming a huge thing. People are finding all sorts of uses for it, from the medical field to cars. Now musicians can get in on the action as guitar maker ODD Guitars (http://www.odd.org.nz/index.html) is putting out some pretty awesome guitars whose bodies are 100% 3D printed, creating some really unique and out there designs, from spiderwebs (complete with spiders) to the American flag (‘Murica!) to honeycombs with bees.

Interesting progress, but my biggest concern is how well or consistent they will sound. Wood > Plastic (or whatever material they use.

Right, because if some sonzabit ch is tearing it up, that mother is gonna melt.

But seriously... 3D Printing is just really taking off, even though it's been around for 20+ years. They now have 3D printing for Metal, so I would suspect, they are working on materials that would actually be better than wood.

It's coming.
