I’ll be the last person to defend Justin Bieber of douche moves. He’s an idiot, but I don’t believe a racist.

I think the racist discussions are getting out of hand, myself. We do need to nail real racists like Sterling and Cliven Bundy, and make them accountable. But if we start making a big deal out of every small dumb move someone does, it will all start sounding like white noise (no pun intended).

Like someone commented, look who he hangs out with. Look who he’s trying to emulate. When you are in the midst of people who say the N-word all day long, you are eventually gonna let it fly.

And seriously, don’t get me started on the double standard of who can use the N-word. That bugs the carp outta me.

No doubt, this discussion belongs here, because Bieber is a douche… not because of bad joke he told.

Bring me some real news.

Samuel Wurzelbache aka Joe the Plumber

Remember that name... this guy is a douche to unimaginable lengths.

"your dead kids don’t trump my Constitutional rights"

Quote
In an open letter published Tuesday, Samuel Wurzelbacher, better known as “Joe the Plumber,” took a hard stance against gun restrictions in the wake of the Santa Barbara shooting rampage.

“I myself have a son and daughter and the one thing I never want to go through, is what you are going through now,” Wurzelbacher wrote, addressing the parents of the victims of the Friday massacre. “But: As harsh as this sounds – your dead kids don’t trump my Constitutional rights.”

Quote
Wurzelbacher noted the calls from victims’ parents, particularly Richard Martinez, for increased gun control following the tragedy.

“There are no critical words for a grieving father,” Wurzelbacher wrote. “(Martinez) can say whatever he wants and blame whoever he’d like – it’s okay by me. You can’t take a step in his shoes – at least I can’t. But the words and images of Mr. Martinez blaming ‘the proliferation of guns’, lobbyists, politicians, etc.; will be exploited by gun-grab extremists as are all tragedies involving gun violence and the mentally ill by the anti-Second Amendment Left.”

Quote
While his tone toward Martinez and other grieving parents softened mid-letter, Wurzelbacher finished on a hard note.

“In conclusion, I cannot begin to imagine the pain you are going through, having had your child taken away from you,” Wurzelbacher wrote. “However, any feelings you have toward my rights being taken away from me, lose those.”

Kim Jong Un - complains about weather service

Quote
SEOUL, South Korea (AP) - Many people around the world grumble about inaccurate weather forecasts, but North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is doing something about it.

Kim, the third generation of his family to rule, is using his position atop the authoritarian country to warn meteorologists against the "many incorrect forecasts" caused by old observation systems.

It remains to be seen whether Kim's field guidance trip to the state-run Hydro-Meteorological Service, reported by state media Tuesday, will lead to more accurate weather predictions. But it was a rare official acknowledgment by proud but impoverished North Korea of its struggles with outdated technology.

It's also a reflection of Kim's stated objective of improving the economy and public livelihood. Another main objective is building more nuclear weapons, which has drawn international condemnation and stern economic sanctions.

The country's frequent natural disasters, like droughts and flooding, are believed to have worsened chronic food shortages.

Kim, who took power after the December 2011 death of his father, Kim Jong Il, was said by state media to have toured forecasting, communications and satellite rooms "to learn in detail about meteorological observation and weather forecast."

Kim said there had been "many incorrect forecasts as the meteorological observation has not been put on a modern and scientific basis," according to the official Korean Central News Agency. He added that the country needed proper meteorological observations in order to protect people and property from disaster

Trucker Pulls Over A Cop For Speeding - Cop Lies His Ass Off

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SK8rJNPz328

Quote
ILLINOIS (PIX11) – A truck driver passing through Illinois says he caught a police officer speeding while talking on his cell phone.

The driver, Brian Miner, pulled over the officer to confront him about his driving.

A video of the alleged incident was posted to YouTube by the truck driver.

In the video, Miner says the officer was speeding on wet roads while using his cell phone.

Initially the officer argues with Miner, saying he was allowed to be on the phone and he wasn’t speeding.

The officer then tells Miner he’s going to give him a ticket for unlawful use of his horn.

When Miner told the officer that the whole thing was being recorded, the officer changes his tune.

“I wasn't paying attention to how fast I was going,” the officer said. “Like you said, we all have to look out for each other out here.”

The officer also gave Miner a violation-free truck inspection and let him go without a ticket.

'Napping guy' at baseball game files $10 million lawsuit against ESPN because he was mocked on live TV

Quote
The television cameras at baseball games often catch fans in semi-embarrassing moments, and good sports announcers are adept at poking gentle fun at spectators when the action on the diamond slows down.

But one Yankees fan who was filmed as he slept soundly through an April 13 game between the Yankees and the Red Sox has sued Major League Baseball, the Yankees and ESPN, saying the announcers’ commentary and the images of him asleep have damaged his reputation.

The suit, filed in State Supreme Court in the Bronx last week, seems to be a case of life imitating art, recalling the “Seinfeld” episode in which George Costanza’s reputation is destroyed and his girlfriend breaks up with him after a television camera catches him gluttonously digging into an ice cream sundae at the United States Open.

The fan, Andrew R. Rector, claimed in his suit that ESPN’s announcers, Dan Shulman and John Kruk, “unleashed an avalanche of disparaging words” about him, suggesting he was overweight and stupid. He also claims Major League Baseball was responsible for “vituperative utterances” about Mr. Rector on its website after the clip of him sleeping was posted the next day.

According to a video clip on Major League Baseball’s website, Mr. Shulman said that “this guy’s oblivious” and Mr. Kruk opined that “this is not the place you come to sleep.” They also marveled that he had fallen asleep in the fourth inning and might have slept through a home run by the Yankees’ Carlos Beltran a few minutes earlier. “We’ve got to see how long this guy’s out for,” Mr. Shulman said.

Mr. Rector maintains the announcers used words like “fatty” and “stupid” to describe him, but neither Mr. Shulman nor Mr. Kruk uttered such insults in the clip. It is unclear whether they commented later in the game on Mr. Rector’s lengthy nap.

What is clear is that Mr. Rector became the target of some online ridicule. Unkind comments from viewers of the clip appeared on YouTube and M.L.B.’s site. Angela Sun, writing for a Yahoo sports blog, poked fun at Mr. Rector for being less than thrilled by the age-old rivalry between the Red Sox and the Yankees. (The Yankees won, by the way, 3-2.) Twitter users also had their fun, inserting Mr. Rector’s picture in various situations, including one that featured him as “Sleeping Beauty.”

Mr. Rector has demanded $10 million in damages for defamation and mental anguish, according to the lawsuit, which was reported by Courthouse News Service.

Mike Soltys, a spokesman for ESPN, declined to comment on the lawsuit, calling it “frivolous.” The Yankees also declined to comment. Patrick Courtney, the spokesman for Major League Baseball, did not return calls from a reporter.

The complaint was written in highly idiosyncratic and often ungrammatical English by Valentine A. Okwara
, a lawyer from Jamaica, Queens, who was admitted to the bar in New York in 2013 and has a degree from the University of Buckingham in England, according to the Office of Court Administration.

Mr. Rector’s mother, Hana Rector, said her son was out of the country. She said Mr. Rector had missed work because of the public scorn he had experienced.

“It was not a pleasant situation,” Ms. Rector said. “He was very unhappy. Everyone made fun of him everywhere he went.”

Percentage this guy gets any money = 0

Listen, let's just give The Bieb's carte blanch on being an honorary douche with regards to anything he does. OK.

Another delay in Justin Bieber's Fla. DUI case

Quote
MIAMI (AP) —
Justin Bieber's lawyers and Florida prosecutors said Wednesday they need more time to work out a possible plea deal on charges that the pop star drove under the influence and resisted arrest.

Assistant State Attorney David Gilbert and Bieber attorney Mark Shapiro asked for an additional three weeks. Miami-Dade County Judge William Altfield reset the matter for Aug. 5.

Gilbert said at a brief hearing the two sides would inform Altfield on that date how the plea negotiations are progressing "and set a trial date, if necessary." He gave no other details, and Shapiro also would not get into specifics. Bieber did not attend the hearing.

"It's pretty much status quo," Shapiro said.

Bieber was arrested early Jan. 23 in Miami Beach after what police described as an illegal street race between Bieber's rented Lamborghini and a Ferrari driven by a friend, R&B singer Khalil Amir Sharieff. Neither was charged with drag racing.

Alcohol breath tests found Bieber's level below Florida's 0.02 limit for underage drivers but urine tests showed the presence of marijuana and the anti-anxiety drug Xanax in his system. Bieber was also charged with resisting arrest and driving on an expired license. Sharieff is also charged with DUI.

Earlier this month, Bieber resolved another criminal case by pleading no contest to a misdemeanor vandalism charge for throwing eggs at a neighbor's house in Los Angeles. In that case, Bieber agreed to pay more than $80,000 in damages and meet a number of other conditions.

Bieber is also charged in Toronto with assaulting a limo driver in late December. His lawyers have said he is not guilty in that case.

Back in Miami, Bieber is being sued by a photographer who says he was roughed up while snapping pictures of the singer outside a recording studio.

The Canadian-born Bieber shot to stardom at age 15, after initially gaining notice through YouTube videos. He was nominated for two Grammy Awards for his 2010 full-length album debut "My World 2.0," but his popularity has begun to wane.

Kanye West Douche of the Day

Kanye West Compares Being A Celebrity To The Civil Rights Movement

Quote
Kanye West is running his mouth off again, this time in a new cover story for the August issue of GQ magazine.

The rapper talked a lot about dealing with being a celebrity and dealing with the paparazzi; more specifically comparing life in the spotlight to facing the same kinds of discrimination that African-Americans faced during the civil rights movement of the 1960s. Yeah, he went there.

Kanye also explained that he's not the predator when it comes to the paparazzi, he's simply out to protect wife Kim Kardashian and their daughter, North, from those getting too close for comfort.

Thus, he called himself a "blowfish," but came off as more of a blowhard.

"Yeah. I'm a blowfish," he explains. "I'm not a shark, I'm a blowfish... I wasn't coming out of my house going to a paparazzi's house to attack them. I'm defending my family in front of my own house."

Kanye added that he just wants to defend his name, especially from the haters.

"I'm defending my name as someone's screaming something negative at me," he says. "That's a blowfish.

"People have me pinned as a shark or a predator in some way, and in no way am I that. I wouldn't want to hurt anyone. I want to defend people. I want to help people."

West also compared being a celebrity and dealing with fame to the injustices suffered by blacks during the civil rights movement, revealing that the speech he gave during his wedding to Kardashian was centered on the need for a change in the way celebrities are treated by the press and the photographers.

"What I talked about [the speech] was the idea of celebrity, and celebrities being treated like blacks were in the '60s, having no rights, and the fact that people can slander your name," he explained.

"I said that in the toast. And I had to say this in a position where I, from the art world, am marrying Kim," he adds. "And how we're going to fight to raise the respect level for celebrities so that my daughter can live a more normal life. She didn't choose to be a celebrity. But she is. So I'm going to fight to make sure she has a better life."

On a lighter note, Kanye also says that everyone needs to have some "Kim K skills" to get through life. No, seriously.

"One of the reasons why I think that me and Kim are very powerful together isn't just the concept of celebrity or this mega rap star and this mega-beautiful pop star," Kanye said. "It's something I explain to my girl: She is who she is. I am who I am. We have advisers and friends and everything, but those people are who they are and we are who we are.

"And what I had to learn from Kim is how to take more of her advice and less of other people's advice. There's a lot of Kim K skills that were added. In order to win at life, you need some Kim K skills, period."

We're not sure if Kanye is referring to Kim's sex tape when he speaks of "Kim K skills," but if that's the case, then no one should have a problem winning at life.

Check out Kanye's full interview in the August issue of GQ magazine and at GQ.com.

What? Holy Crap dude...

Bülent Arınç, Turkish Prime Minister

Quote
Turkish women are posting laughing selfies on social media in defiance of one of the country’s top government officials who said that women scolded women for laughing out loud in public.

Vice Prime Minster Bülent Arinç, a conservative politician, complained on Monday that Turkey's society is in moral decline, and complained that women who don't control their laughs in public were part of the country's problem.

“A man should be moral but women should be moral as well, they should now what is decent and what is not decent. She should not laugh loudly in front of all the world and should preserve her decency at all times,” Arinc said, according to Hurriyet Daily News.

He suggested that by not laughing in public a woman "will protect her chasteness.”

Arinc's statement has stirred up a social media uproar, followed by Turkish women posting their laughing selfies on Twitter along with the hashtag #direnkahkaha, which means resist laughter.

And now he just goes even further with his thoughts...

Turkish Deputy PM Turns Ire From Laughing Women to Pole-Dancing

Quote
The Turkish deputy prime minister, who was ridiculed when he told women not to laugh in public, has walked into a second social media storm - this time for lashing out at women who "can't wait to climb poles when they see one." Bülent Arınç was attempting Wednesday to explain his comments, but appeared to make matters worse by suggesting women could not resist pole-dancing while on holiday with their extramarital lovers. His original remark about laughter, on Monday, prompted thousands of women to post defiant, smiling selfies.

Lawyers

I think I like Kid Rock

Quote
Generally speaking, Kid Rock seems like a pretty happy-go-lucky guy. Everyone has their limits, however, and Rock’s apparently end right around the spot where someone else accuses him of being the owner of a sex toy that’s part of a workplace-harassment lawsuit.

As we previously reported, Rock’s name came up a couple of weeks ago during an ongoing trial that’s been brought against the Insane Clown Posse by a former employee alleging sexual harassment. The plaintiff, Andrea Pellegrini, has described a litany of inappropriate behavior that includes bullying, wrongful termination, and the attempted gifting of a glass dildo — which another ex-employee claims was ultimately given to Kid Rock.

The judge in the case ordered Rock to hand over the offending phallus, unleashing a torrent of s****ing headlines in the process. But Rock isn’t amused. He’s made his feelings known by using his website to publicly shame the lawyers involved in the lawsuit, posting the contents of the “actual letters” he’s mailed in response to having his good name so brazenly sullied.

You can read the complete text of the letters here, starting with Rock’s recommendation regarding exactly what “all parties involved” can go ahead and do with the aforementioned dildo. “I’ve never heard of, seen, or met any people involved in this case. But I’m pretty sure you already know that. What I do know is that you’ve been dragging my name around in the media to gain attention for your sad-ass excuse for a law firm,” reads a portion of one letter. Asking the attorneys to imagine waking up one morning to discover they’d been falsely accused of getting “caught molesting animals at a petting zoo while high on bath salts,” Rock queries, “wouldn’t you be ****ed off that your name, for days on end, was being mentioned in the press when EVERYONE involved knew you weren’t involved in any way? Welcome to my side of this story.”

And although owning sex toys is a pretty mild allegation considering the wild image Kid Rock cultivated in his early years, he makes an excellent point. Further, it’s easy to understand the anger behind statements like: “It is obvious that all you a–holes are using my name and notoriety to garner publicity for yourselves, which makes you the worst kind of scum. You’re the types of lawyers that make America a worse place for everyone. … Your website says you represent people who are ‘interested in doing the right thing.’ I don’t believe that, but prove me wrong.”
The allegations have yet to be publicly retracted. In the meantime, the guys in Steely Dan may want to make sure they’ve got their own attorneys on speed dial.

Even more Kanye West... douche

Kanye West has referred to himself as the "the smartest celebrity" and compared his battle with paparazzi to African Americans fighting for civil rights in the 1960's.

A transcript of West's recent deposition in his ongoing civil lawsuit stemming from a July 2013 scuffle with photographer Daniel Ramos has been obtained by TMZ.

Kim Kardashian's new husband, who is being sued by Ramos for assault and battery, swore under oath, "I'm the smartest celebrity you've ever f-cking dealt with. I'm not Britney Spears."

West has been accused of beating the photographer and smashing his camera in Los Angeles International airport. Ramos had recorded video footage of the incident at the time.

The rapper reportedly explained to Ramos' lawyer Nate Goldberg, "I'm in the business of trying to make dope sh-t for the world. You're in the business of representing scums and trying to make as much money as long as there's this lapse in the law."

According to TMZ, West also claimed there's a parallel between celebrities fighting for their rights against the paparazzi today and African Americans fighting for civil rights in the 1960s.

"I mean in the '60s people used to hold up 'Die N-gger' signs when my parents were in the sit-ins also... Yes, 100... I equate it to discrimination. I equate it to inequalities," West told Goldberg.

"We, as group of minorities here in LA, as celebrities have to ban together to influence guys like this -- guys trying to take the picture, guys trying to get the big win, guys trying to get the check."

In addition, Goldberg questioned West about the lyrics to his song "Flashing Lights," which clearly bashes the paparazzi.

Goldberg reportedly quoted one of the verses by reciting, "Till I get flashed by the paparazzi, damn, these n-ggas got me."

West then slammed the lawyer for saying the "n-word" aloud.

"You have to ask for a hall pass. You can't just say the 'n' word around me. It offends me because you're a white person saying 'n-gga,'" West said, according to TMZ.

As far as West's criminal case goes, he had struck a plea deal back in March and was sentenced to two years of probation, 250 hours of community service and 24 sessions of anger management counseling. The rapper had pleaded no contest to misdemeanor battery.

Keith Ablow & Fox News

Fox News host: First lady needs to 'drop a few' pounds

Quote
A Fox News co-host questioned Michelle Obama's weight and eating habits on Tuesday as the first lady advocates for nutrition standards through her "Let's Move" anti-obesity campaign.

"How well could she be eating? She needs to drop a few," Keith Ablow, a psychiatrist and member of Fox's "Medical A-Team," said on "Outnumbered."

The show regularly features four women sitting on a couch with one man in the middle, who's "outnumbered" in conversations about the news.

After the four female co-hosts chided Ablow for his comments, he continued to offer skepticism.

"Well, no, let's be honest. I mean, there's no French fries ever? That's all kale and carrots? I don't buy it," he said.

One co-host, Lisa 'Kennedy' Montgomery, jumped in to defend the first lady.

"I do not like her attitude, but I like her booty," she said.

Sandra Smith, another co-host, tried to drive the discussion back to the topic at hand - some school districts are opting out of federal requirements that mandate better choices for school lunches, saying the requirements are too difficult.

Smith added that some students are simply leaving campus to buy fast food, rather than buy food they don't want to eat at school.

Congressional Republicans have been trying to nix or delay the program.

Ablow jumped in again: "Exactly, but that's what she's doing. She's up at night in the White House kitchen, I'm telling ya."

CNN has reached out to the White House for comment on the host's remarks.

Internet Trolls

Quote
She's Robin Williams' grieving daughter, she's super into video games and she's named for the iconic princess from the Legend of Zelda -- but to Internet trolls, Zelda Williams is just another target.

Less than two days after the death of her father, Williams deleted the Instagram and Twitter apps from her phone, citing repeated harassment from Internet trolls sending her graphic digitally edited images of father's face superimposed on corpses. Both accounts remain active online and available for public viewing.

The trouble began when she posted a passage from The Little Prince on Twitter in honor of her late father.

Rush Limbaugh

Lewis Black slams Rush Limbaugh: “You disgust me”

Quote
Comedian Lewis Black tore into Rush Limbaugh for his tasteless comments on Robin Williams’ suicide, Daily Kos reported. Black posted a short but invective blurb to his Facebook page stating:

“**** YOU Rush Limbaugh. Your statements were beyond cruel and stupid. They were intolerable. Enough is enough from you. You are an idiot. Don’t you ever demean the death of another human being. He was my friend. You disgust me.”

On Tuesday, Limbaugh made a meandering speech where he read from a local Fox story speculating on why Williams committed suicide, and then oddly connected that to a leftist point of view. He walked these comments back on Wednesday, stating that he doesn’t know the reasons for Williams’ suicide and accused the media of misconstruing his words.

It’s proof again that the good die young, and pricks live forever. He’s gonna be missed. There’s a hole, and it’s gonna take a long time to be filled.”

Henry Rollins

Henry Rollins Criticizes Robin Williams and Denounces Suicide in Scathing Column

Quote
Never one to shy away from offending anyone, Henry Rollins is facing a social media backlash after writing a column for L.A. Weekly in which he condemns Robin Williams‘ decision to commit suicide.

Rollins, who said he believed Williams was a “good man” because of his performances for the United Service Organizations, was mostly critical of the late comedian over the effect his suicide will have on his children.

“How in the hell could you possibly do that to your children,” Rollins wrote. “I don’t care how well-adjusted your kid might be — choosing to kill yourself, rather than to be there for that child, is every shade of awful, traumatic and confusing. I think as soon as you have children, you waive your right to take your own life. No matter what mistakes you make in life, it should be your utmost goal not to traumatize your kids. So, you don’t kill yourself.”

Rollins doesn’t question the realities of depression and notes, “Depression is so personal and so unique to each of us that when you’re in its teeth, you think you invented it.” But the former Black Flag and Rollins Band frontman said he can’t respect anyone who makes the decision to take his or her own life.

“I no longer take this person seriously,” he wrote. “I may be able to appreciate what he or she did artistically but it’s impossible to feel bad for them. Their life wasn’t cut short — it was purposely abandoned. It’s hard to feel bad when the person did what they wanted to.”

He also takes it a step further. “When someone negates their existence, they cancel themselves out in my mind,” he wrote. “I have many records, books and films featuring people who have taken their own lives, and I regard them all with a bit of distain [sic]. When someone commits this act, he or she is out of my analog world. I know they existed, yet they have nullified their existence because they willfully removed themselves from life. They were real but now they are not.”

While Rollins’ diatribe has started a larger conversation about suicide, the reaction has largely been negative. Some celebrities have reacted on social media:

In closing his column, Rollins referred to a statistic from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that 40,000 people kill themselves each year. He wrote, “In my opinion, that is 40,000 people who blew it.” Read the entire column here.

Have we submitted FOX news at any point. Maybe they should be in the hall of fame for constantly being douche

"Take the stairs."

Quote
The new footage of NFL star Ray Rice's brutal knockout of his then-fiancee in an Atlantic City elevator has sparked an impassioned national conversation about the entrapping nature of domestic violence and its long-term psychological effects.

Except on "Fox and Friends," where the big takeaway, according to co-host Brian Kilmeade, was this: "Take the stairs." Kilmeade and co-host Steve Doocy, who chimed in Monday morning with, "The message is, when you're in an elevator, there's a camera, sparked another national conversation about the mindless nature of morning television and its apparent long-term psychological effects of its hosts.

Kilmeade did offer a brief apology at the opening of this morning's program at 6 a.m.: "Comments we made during this story yesterday made some feel like we were taking the situation too lightly," he says. "We are not. We were not. Domestic abuse is a very serious issue to us, I can assure you."

Kilmeade on Monday had also criticized Janay Rice, saying that women who stay with their abusers send a "terrible message" — as opposed to the message sent by celebrated pro athletes with their fists? While domestic violence victims' advocates would much rather focus the conversation on the abusers than their prey, the Ray Rice case — and social media — has spurred victims to speak up for themselves.

Finally....

Meanwhile, Rice herself this morning seemed to blame the media for her "nightmare." Via Instagram, she writes, "To make us relive a moment in our lives that we regret every day is a horrible thing. To take something away from the man I love that he has worked his ass of for all his life just to gain ratings is horrific."

Kanye West

My Response to the Kanye West Disability Debacle

Quote
I was scrolling through my social media feeds Saturday afternoon, when I tripped over the headline: "Kanye West Yells at Wheelchair-Bound Concertgoer to Stand." My issues with use of "wheelchair-bound" notwithstanding (seriously?), I continued reading. We all know that Mr. West makes his money off portraying himself as an egotistical, narcissistic douche-nozzle -- that's his schtick. I get it.

He asked all his fans to stand so he could perform his next hit. When he realized that two fans were Persons with Disabilities (one even going so far as to wave their prosthetic leg as proof -- hilarious), he halted the concert so that his security could confirm this, saying that the only way you were exempt from his command was if you "got and handicapped pass and free parking." This is where things get problematic for me.

As someone who lives with a pretty noticeable disability, and am wheelchair-bound (to use the words of the article. Sounds pretty ridiculous, right?), this incident really struck a chord with me. In the work that I do as a Disability Awareness Consultant, I operate with the knowledge that many people need the tools to understand disability, and that is okay. This incident is proof that Mr. West needs a lot of guidance in this area, and MANY, MANY tools. Or, just that he is a tool.

The bigger issue in context for me is not that Mr. West halted the concert until this person -- just out to have a good time, mind you -- stood up, but that his security guard had to check the veracity of this. It suggests that if you cannot stand up, you are not welcome here. Can you imagine the emotional impact this may have had on that person? To have to prove that you are disabled is one thing, but when you have a multi-million dollar artist and thousands of concertgoers waiting for this proof, that is a whole other level of humiliation and shame. Also, I didn't realize it was a crime to "concert while crippled," if you will.

The biggest mistake I think is that Kanye didn't even see it as a mistake. What would have happened if a security guard needed to verify this person's race, and the concert was stopped until there was a consensus of this person's blackness? Would it have been acceptable then? What authority does Kanye have to subject someone to that?

This is one of the times where I am glad that I cannot stand up on my own, because I would never use what little leg strength I do have in support of such a misguided individual. All I can say to you, Mr. Ye: "I am so appalled. You are f***ing ridiculous."

Idaho Teens Injured in Bizarre Crash

Quote
BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A SUV full of teenagers crashed in Idaho after one of the passengers lit the driver's armpit hair on fire with a lighter, authorities said Wednesday.

All five young people in the Ford Bronco were hurt in the crash Sunday and received medical treatment, the Ada County Sheriff's Office said.

Two of the passengers, ages 15 and 16, were thrown from the vehicle, but none of the five suffered life-threatening injuries.

The sheriff's department said the rollover occurred after a 16-year-old boy was goofing off in the front seat and lit 18-year-old Tristian Myers' armpit hair on fire while Myers was driving. The crash happened at about 5:30 a.m. in southeast Boise.

Deputies cited Myers with inattentive driving, while the 16-year-old was cited for interfering with the driver's safety. The passenger's name wasn't released. A 17-year old also was in the front seat but was not cited.

Deputies also said none of the teens was wearing a seatbelt, and there was evidence Myers was driving too fast.

A court date will be scheduled later for Myers, who has no listed phone number. It was not immediately clear if he had an attorney.

Maksood (20)

A douche that got himself killed by a wild animal.

Quote
NEW DELHI: In a hair-raising incident, witnessed by scores and captured live on many cameras, a 200kg white tiger mauled and killed a youth after he fell into the animal's moat in the Delhi zoo, eyewitnesses and officials said on Tuesday.

The incident, which took place between 12.30pm and 1pm, created a sensation and word soon spread through the city, with photos and video of the tiger — one of the zoo's star attractions — dragging the youth going viral.

Eyewitnesses and zoo officials said the young man, who was later identified as Maksood, 20, a resident of Anand Parbat in Delhi, had "crossed the stand-off barrier" of the white tiger's enclosure and then fell or jumped into the moat which separated the enclosure from the visitors' gallery.

The majestic six-foot, seven-year-old tiger, named Vijay, which was some distance away, saw the man in the concrete moat, that was covered with dry leaves, and bounded up to him. Footages showed the tiger glowering face to face at the man, as it initially appeared to be surprised on seeing the sudden human intrusion into its habitat.

"As soon as the youth fell into the moat, the tiger approached him and silently watched him for nearly 15 minutes," Bittoo, an eyewitness, who recorded the entire incident on his mobile, told media persons. He said what possibly provoked the tiger to attack the man was when onlookers and a guard tried to divert its attention by pelting stones at it.

Just thinning out the herd... the human herd.

I don't buy into a lot of 'great' art. This 'thing' she is doing sounds ridiculous and the actual steps she is going through to make her case sounds more like the artistic attempt. Much like the things Andy Kaufman did to create comedy and art. Didn't think what he did was that particularly good either.

Tuszyn councilmembers

Winnie the Pooh rejected as mascot of Polish playground for its lack of pants
The British bear known for its love of honey and misadventures has no place in a Polish playground because of its “wholly inappropriate for children,” a Tuszyn councilman said at a closed meeting to debate its pick for a playground’s mascot.

Quote
Oh, bother.

Winnie the Pooh’s lack of pants has offended Polish officials into outcasting the bumbling British teddy bear from their playgrounds.

Tuszyn councilmembers questioned Pooh’s sexuality and incorrectly called the fictional bear a hermaphrodite behind closed doors while debating whether to designate Pooh the mascot of their town’s playground, the Croatian Times reported.

“It doesn’t wear underpants because it doesn’t have a sex. It’s a hermaphrodite,” stated one councilmember in audio leaked to Polish media.

A hermaphrodite is defined by a person, plant or animal that has both male and female reproductive organs, according to Merriam-Webster’s dictionary.

Winnie the Pooh would actually be an asexual.

The conversation escalated when councilwoman Hanna Jachimska of the central Poland town blamed Pooh’s creator, Alan Alexander Milne, for the poor bear’s lack of genitals.

Illinois woman wants to trademark ‘I can’t breathe,’ Eric Garner’s last words

Quote
Catherine Crump wants to trademark the phrase “I can’t breathe,” the last words of Staten Island man Eric Garner, which became a rallying cry — a symbol of anger and frustration —over the past two-plus weeks. Crump, who lives in Illinois, has no relation to Garner, who died in July after a New York City police officer placed him in an apparent chokehold.

So why is she filing for the trademark? For use on “clothing, namely hoodies, T-shirts for men, women, boys, girls and infants,” according to the application.

King @sshole Parks In Handicap Spot, Refuses To Leave Car To Be Towed

Quote
In a stunningly bold, last-minute bid to become the most Colossal Dickface of 2014, Matthew Saunders of Birmingham, UK is, as we speak, sitting in his car, refusing to be towed away because he parked in a disabled parking place. He's been there over six hours so far. This **** is in it to win it.

Here's what happened: Saunders went into the Birmingham city center area to pick up a friend from work, and, already planning his bold ploy to capture the King **** crown at this early stage, parked in a 'disabled' (what those kooky Englishmen call a handicapped) parking space. Since Saunders wasn't you know, disabled, that's illegal, so his Vauxhall Tigra was loaded onto a flatbed tow truck.1

At some point in this process, Saunders returned, saw his car on the flatbed, and climbed up back into his car, where he's remained ever since. Legally, the car cannot be towed or impounded while he's inside, so he's holing up for the long haul, stating that he's "Staying in car all night."

The reason he's doing this is because he says

Quote
"If they take it off me I haven't got the funds to release it,"

Quote
... since the car being towed and impounded would cost him £105 ($163) plus £12/day ($18.61) for storage. The ticket itself he's willing to pay, and that's £35 ($54) if he pays within 14 days. So, instead of, you know, not **** parking in a handicapped space illegally if he's so **** broke he can't pay these fees, Emperor Douche of the Dickweed Isles has been holding up traffic and keeping a tow truck, tow truck driver, and several cops doing ****-all in the middle of the road for over six hours.

Hell, those fees don't even sound that awful. In LA I once paid almost a grand to get my truck out of impound, and I didn't do anything nearly as dickish as parking in a handicapped spot — that was for a lapsed registration.2

So, let's all hail the new King ****, Matthew the First. A man — no, let's call this what it is — a hero who, even though he was low on funds, bravely parked in perhaps the most obvious tow-away spot known to driverkind, and is now somehow indignant that his car will be towed.

Perhaps King **** will permanently set up court there, in his regal Vauxhall, perched atop that flatbed like a glorious blue beacon to the art of doing something stupid and then never refusing to take the consequences. Dickheads all over the globe can come to Birmingham, find the King by the surrounding traffic jam, and pay tribute to their new lord.

All hail King ****! Long may he reign. In his car, cold and alone.

Epic fail at parenting on soooooo many levels.

Dad Throws Outrageous Playboy Party For His Daughter! And Gets Arrested For It!

Quote
Being a parent is tough, and sometimes it's hard to know if you're doing the right thing for you kids.

Well, this dad is hopefully taking the handcuffs as a sign that he made a bit of a mistake…

Jeffrey Lake is a 48-year-old father from Poway, California who was arrested this past Friday after he threw a birthday party for his 18-year-old daughter.

He was arrested because he was a little too lenient with regards to his daughter and letting her and her friends drink alcohol.

In fact it was on that Friday that he threw a Playboy themed party for his 18-year-old daughter and almost two hundred of her friends at his residence — where high school students showed up and drank a ton of alcohol amongst other illegal activities at the home.

When police arrived they found almost everyone there was drinking as well as a 17-year-old passed out in a bathroom and a 19-year-old passed out in a closet.

So we guess this old man let the party get a little out of hand!

One photo gaining a lot of attention is one of Lake's daughter Olivia in a revealing black top surrounded by other young friends, a lot of whom were dressed in lingerie and other inappropriate stuff (above).

The Party Poppa now faces up to six months in jail for hosting the party where he gave booze to underage teens.

And the mayor of Poway is just glad that nothing really bad happened. Here's what Steve Vats said:

"You have a party like this and it's as though you're handing out hand grenades as party favors. It's a disaster waiting to happen."

Lake is a practicing attorney who specializes in medical marijuana law, so we're curious to see if he'll be able to wiggle his way out of this one.

Although when you catch the attention of your town's mayor — that's usually not a good sign!

THE BLACK CROWES HAVE BROKEN UP (http://ultimateclassicrock.com/black-crowes-break-up/)

Normally I would post this in the Music section. But Chris Robinson is a f*cking douche for not only trying to force his brother to relinquish ownership of the band, but to also try to get Steve Gorman, the drummer, to do the same makes him an idiot. Why would founder members agree to this? They wouldn't. I guess family doesn't mean sh*t to him. F*ck you Chris! Congrats Chris, you're the second douche today.

This could have gone in several places. Religion, WTF, etc.

But since this is more of a 'douche' person than religious, I vote to put this Malarkey here.

“Boy Who Came Back from Heaven” says he didn’t go to heaven after all

Alex Malarkey wants you to stop believing in his bestselling story

Quote
If there’s a spiritual lesson here, it would seem to be that one should regard claims made by people named “Malarkey” with a strong degree of skepticism. In a surprising admission this week, Alex Malarkey, who with his father Kevin co-wrote the 2010 New York Times bestseller “The Boy Who Came Back from Heaven,” declared that he has not, in fact, ever visited heaven.

The Malarkeys scored a literary hit with their account of the 2004 car accident that left Alex paralyzed, the two month-long coma he endured — and the “true story” of what he described as an experience in a heaven replete with Jesus and helpful angels. But in an open letter for the Pulpit and Pen blog, the now teenaged Alex states flatly, “I did not die. I did not go to Heaven. I said I went to heaven because I thought it would get me attention. When I made the claims that I did, I had never read the Bible. People have profited from lies, and continue to. They should read the Bible, which is enough. The Bible is the only source of truth. Anything written by man cannot be infallible.”

The experience the Malarkeys described in their book, a phenomenon known as “heavenly tourism,” has meant big successes for the Christian publishing industry. “Heaven Is for Real,” an account of Colton Burpo’s near-death experience at age four and his “astounding” visions of the “Throne Room of God,” as well as Don Piper’s “90 Minutes in Heaven,” have been major bestsellers. Now, embarrassingly, Christian publisher Tyndale House has had to announce it “has decided to take the book and related ancillary products out of print,” and Christian retailer LifeWay appears to have already withdrawn it. It is, however, still selling Kevin Malarkey’s new book.

For a variety of obvious and not so obvious reasons, the revelation that this kid didn’t go to heaven shouldn’t exactly be a bombshell. Even if you are the sort of person who might initially have believed Malarkey’s story unquestioningly, note that Pulpit and Pen has posted emails suggesting that LifeWay president Thom Rainer received direct information months ago that “Alex does not support this book.” Note that Alex’s mother Beth – who is now divorced from his father — wrote last April that “Alex was a kid with major brain trauma which alone should raise questions as to validity,” and that “Alex’s name and identity are being used against his wishes (I have spoken before and posted about it that Alex has tried to publicly speak out against the book), on something that he is opposed to and knows to be in error according to the Bible.”

I honestly don’t fault people for taking solace in the idea that there is something beautiful and peaceful on the other side of human life. I have seen a member of my own family find great comfort in reading “90 Minutes In Heaven” after the death of her husband, and I wouldn’t take that consolation away from her for anything. And I am aware enough of my own ignorance of the vast workings of the universe to consider that I can’t say for certain what happens to our consciousness after we die.

What smacks of obvious hucksterism, however, is the idea of taking a seriously injured child and exploiting his experience – and continuing to exploit it even after a pretty clear trail of evidence seems to indicate that he no longer wanted to play ball. What is sad isn’t that there are people who really want to believe a six year-old could meet Jesus, but that there are people who made money off that belief, even when the boy himself didn’t believe it. That Alex Malarkey survived his accident and coma, that he has gone on to become part of exciting innovations in the treatment of people with spinal cord injuries — these are the things that could be called miracles, no wings or harps necessary. And if heaven were real, I’d question today who, in the very lucrative and dubious world of Christian celestial tourism, would actually deserve a ticket to it — and who would be turned away.

Unbelievable

Dad gets $26 invoice after son misses friend's party

A dad in the UK was issued a 'no-show' invoice after his son did not make it to a classmate's birthday party. Are parents on the hook for the cost if there is a cancellation for a child's birthday party?

Quote
A dad who gave an oral RSVP to a mom for a birthday party for her 5-year-old has made international headlines after he found himself on the receiving end of a "no-show" invoice from the birthday boy's mom.

This appears to be one of those polarizing parental moments that spark emotional conversations on social media over everything from etiquette to common sense and the high cost modern parents pay – fiscally and emotionally – when a child's party goes from being a celebration to an expensive event.

Derek Nash and his partner, who live in Torpoint, near Plymouth, England were sent an invoice for $26 (£15.95) last week, according to a report published in the Plymouth Herald newspaper.

Mr. Nash, a delivery driver, told the newspaper that he, “thought it was a joke.”

Over the Christmas holidays, Nash’s son Alex was invited to a classmate’s birthday party at the Ski Slope and Snowboard Centre, and when Mr. Nash was asked by the birthday boy’s mom if his son would be attending, he confirmed.

However, dad later realized that he’d already made a plan for the same date when Alex and the family were to spend the day with his grandparents. Grandparents trump ski party for this child and so dad needed to call and cancel.

However, as happens all too often to many parents, Nash didn’t have the phone number or email address for the other parent to let her know his son would not be there. He told the Plymouth Herald that his partner tried to locate the mom to get her the word Alex would not be attending, but to no avail.

Rather than take the absence of Alex in stride, the other parent took Nash’s affirmative RSVP as an oral contract and sent a printed invoice to Nash via the child’s school teacher at Torpoint Nursery and Infant School.

On January 15, Nash’s partner looked in Alex’s school bag and found a brown envelope containing the invoice.

I like their "movement". But what I don't understand, if this is such a major problem, why the f*ck don't they just put up guardrails at both ends to keep people from driving on the sidewalk. It's so simple, and yet they completely overlook it. Well, I'm sure they have thought of that.....but still. GUARDRAILS!!!

Haven't we elected this uber-douche before? What an arrogant f*ck

Kanye West (Grammy's)

Quote
West threatened to step onstage and cause a scene when Beck grabbed Album of the Year from Beyoncé — this time he was kidding (mostly).

In a repeat of his iconic 2009 storming of the stage at the Video Music Awards, Kanye West bum-rushed Beck's Album of the Year acceptance speech in support of his longtime personal crusade: Letting everyone know he thinks Beyoncé is awesome. "Beck needs to respect artistry and he should have given his award to Beyonce and at this point, we tired of it," he said later.

More views in from around...

And I love Shirley Manson's comments...

Shirley Manson Slams Kanye's Grammy Interruption: 'Grow Up and Stop Throwing Your Toys Around'

Album of the year winner Beck may have been "excited" that Kanye West briefly stormed the stage at Sunday's Grammys, but Shirley Manson is ranting mad.

The Garbage singer, 48, took to Facebook to blast West, 37, for the stunt, which was reminiscent of the time he famously interrupted Taylor Swift at the 2009 MTV VMAs to claim Beyoncé should have won the best female video Moonman.

She accused him of "rudely and savagely" attack Beck, saying, "You make yourself look small and petty and spoilt ... Grow up and stop throwing your toys around. You are making yourself look like a complete t---."

She added, "Ps.I am pretty certain Beyoncé doesn't need you fighting any battles on her account. Seems like she's got everything covered perfectly well on her own."

Though everyone from West's wife Kim Kardashian to buddy Jay Z, award presenter Prince and even Beyoncé herself visibly laughed when West "pulled a Kanye" on Sunday, Manson was not amused.

After West made comments on a Grammys aftershow that "Beck needs to respect artistry" by handing over his the stauette, Manson shot back, "Dear Kanye West, It is YOU who is so busy disrespecting artistry."

and Paul Stanley...

Paul Stanley Says Beck Should Have Kicked Kanye West ‘Right in the Nuts’

Kanye West is apparently lucky he interrupted alternative hero Beck instead of Kiss star Paul Stanley last night at the Grammys.

“Beck should’ve kicked Kanye right in the nuts and said, ‘Get the f— of MY stage!,’” Stanley declared on Facebook. West — who famously interrupted Taylor Swift’s win at the 2009 VMAs to declare that Beyonce was more deserving of an award — pulled a similar stunt during Beck’s Album of the Year acceptance speech last night. Although it seemed like a lighthearted joke or self-parody at the time, with West offering a sly smile and not actually speaking, later on he made it clear he had problems with Beck winning the award over Beyonce:

I don’t even know what [Beck] said. I just know that, the Grammys, if they want real artists to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us. … And Beck needs to respect artistry, he should have given his award to Beyoncé. At this point, we tired of it. What happens is, when you keep on diminishing art, and not respecting the craft, and smacking people in the face after they deliver monumental feats of music, you’re disrespectful to inspiration. We, as musicians, have to inspire people who go to work every day, and they listen to that Beyoncé album, and they feel like it takes them to a different place. … I am here to fight for creativity. That’s why I didn’t say anything tonight, but you all knew what it meant when ‘Ye stepped on that stage.

For his part, Beck seems to be taking the whole thing in stride, saying “I was just so excited he [West] was coming up. He deserves to be onstage as much as anybody … How many great records has he put out in the last five years, right?”

I heard about Paul Stanley's comment yesterday and found it very funny. Haven't heard of Shirley Manson's until now. I hope more artist follow their lead and call Kanye out on his sh*t. But I doubt that's going to happen, even if the majority of them feel exactly the same as Paul and Shirley. Most will not want to get in the bad graces of Kanye for whatever reason.

Kanye West Apologizes to Beck, Announces Collaboration with Taylor Swift

Quote
“When I said that thing about ‘respect artistry,’ I think it came off the wrong way and that was a mis-wording on my part.”

It looks like Kanye West and Taylor Swift really did mend fences at the Grammy Awards this weekend. In an interview with Ryan Seacrest this morning, West announced that he and Swift aren’t only collaborating on photo opportunities, they’ll be headed into the studio to record together as well.

Seacrest broke the news on Twitter:

This announcement, as well as the rest of the Seacrest interview, seems to be a bit of a mea culpa, or at least clarification, on the part of West. The musician came under fire earlier in the week after jokingly repeating his famous 2009 VMA interruption of Swift by hopping up onstage when Beck beat out Beyoncé for album of the year. West took the opportunity to clarify to Seacrest both the light-hearted Beck interruption and the harsher interview he gave post-ceremony.

In that post ceremony interview, West said, among other things:

Quote
I don’t even know what [Beck] said. I just know that, the Grammys, if they want real artists to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us. We aren’t going to play with them no more. ‘Flawless.’ Beyoncé’s video. And Beck needs to respect artistry, he should have given his award to Beyoncé.

But West told Seacrest this morning:

Quote
So the voices in my head told me go and then I just walked up like halfway up the stage. You know, what I really wanted to do is just joke around about what had happened before, but I just really didn’t want to take away from Beck’s moment or the time he’s having to talk because you know the Grammys, they play music really quick no matter who you are and everything. So I didn’t want anything to take away from his screen time. So I just walked back down because you know, it was kind of a joke like the Grammys themselves.

And when asked directly about Beck, West said:

Quote
Well first of all, Beck is one of the nicest guys and one of the most respected musicians in the game. So, there’s nothing that I will want to do as a fellow musician to disrespect him in any way. And the weird thing is like, and I don’t feel like I have the right to take away from people’s moments, but the reality of it is — and case in point by who came up to me right afterwards — is it’s almost like a chiropractor. You know, you just get a little crook out like, “Wow, this crook has been there!” It’s just a little jolt of truth, right? And then you know, everyone feels better after the fact, or everyone is way more famous after the fact, or everyone sells way more albums after the fact, and then Kanye just goes on being an a**hole to everyone.

This is par for the course for Kanye who often (but not always) follows up his more impulsive, outspoken moments with thoughtful interviews and personal apologies. If Seacrest’s Twitter feed is any indication, this most recent West apology went a long way to soothe ruffled feathers.

As for Swift, Kanye said:

Quote
Yeah, she wants to get in the studio and we’re definitely going to go in. Any artist with an amazing point of view, perspective, fan base, I’m down to get in the studio and work. I don’t discriminate.

If Kanye and Taylor are really headed into the studio together seven years after their original conflict, does that mean we can expect a West/Beck collaboration in 2022? Actually, given how serene Beck has been about all of this, that collaboration could come even sooner.

According to gossip website TMZ, Kris decided to take action to secure the title in a bid to prevent other famous parents such as Lindsay Lohan's mom Dina, or Beyonce's mom Tina, from using the term.

The news comes just weeks after Kendall and Kylie reportedly attempted to copyright their monikers in an attempt to assert themselves as international stars.

Trash-talking anesthesiologist told to pay up after patient records her

Quote
Ever wonder what doctors talk about when you're sedated?

A Virginia man who underwent a colonoscopy found out -- and it wasn't pretty.

The Washington Post reports the patient, from Vienna, Va., pressed record on his phone prior to his procedure so that he could be sure to capture the doctor's instructions afterward.

On his way home, the patient discovered he had recorded the entire procedure, during which the gastroenterologist, anesthesiologist and a medical student engaged in a highly unprofessional discussion about, basically, how much they disliked the patient.

Writes reporter Tom Jackman:
In addition to their vicious commentary, the doctors discussed avoiding the man after the colonoscopy, instructing an assistant to lie to him, and then placed a false diagnosis on his chart.
"After five minutes of talking to you in pre-op," the anesthesiologist told the sedated patient, "I wanted to punch you in the face and man you up a little bit," she was recorded saying.
When a medical assistant noted the man had a rash, the anesthesiologist warned her not to touch it, saying she might get "some syphilis on your arm or something," then added, "It's probably tuberculosis in the ****, so you'll be all right."

Last week, Jackman reports, a Fairfax County jury ordered the anesthesiologist to pay $500,000 to the patient for defamation, medical malpractice and punitive damages.

Bristol Palin

Abstinence Advocate Bristol Palin Announces Second Unplanned Pregnancy
Quote

“I know this has been, and will be, a huge disappointment to my family, to my close friends, and to many of you,” she wrote.
by

    Kia Makarechi

Bristol Palin, the daughter of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, announced on Thursday that she was pregnant with her second child out of wedlock.

“I wanted you guys to be the first to know that I am pregnant,” Palin wrote on her blog. “Honestly, I’ve been trying my hardest to keep my chin up on this one.”

The news comes just one month after Palin suddenly called off her wedding to Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer, which had been scheduled for May 23. Palin did not comment on the identity of the father in her blog post.

Palin announced that she was pregnant with her first child, Tripp Palin, during her mother’s campaign for the vice-presidency. Palin was 17 at the time. She was twice engaged to Tripp’s father, Levi Johnston, but both engagements were broken off. (Johnston married a different woman in 2012.)

“I know this has been, and will be, a huge disappointment to my family, to my close friends, and to many of you,” she wrote on Thursday. “But please respect Tripp’s and my privacy during this time. I do not want any lectures and I do not want any sympathy.”

Since her first pregnancy, Palin has made a career out of campaigning for abstinence. In 2011, it was widely reported that she was paid $262,500 from the Candie’s Foundation, a non-profit organization that fights teen pregnancy by supporting abstinence work. Palin is also listed as an expert on abstinence on the Web site of Single Source Speakers, a booking agency.

Palin’s message, however, has been inconsistent. In a February 2009 interview with Fox’s Greta Van Susteren, she said that while she’s pro-abstinence, she takes a more realistic view. “I think abstinence is, like—like, the—I don't know how to put it—like, the main—everyone should be abstinent or whatever, but it's not realistic at all,” she said, according to a transcript of the interview. Three months later, she had sharpened her message: “Regardless of what I did personally, I just think that abstinence is the only . . . 100 percent foolproof way to prevent pregnancy.”

She has since said that she wishes she had waited until she was in a stable relationship before becoming pregnant the first time. “My life, my teenage years were cut completely short. I was on the fast track to adulthood just in an instant because of that one decision,” Palin told CNN in 2011. “And Tripp is just the love of my life. He is everything to me. But do I wish that he had a dad that was involved in his life? Absolutely. And do I wish that I had an education and a real career path? Absolutely.”

Bristol Palin--So This Pregnancy was Planned and I Don't Regret it

Quote
Bristol Palin makes no apparent sense ... now she says her latest out of wedlock baby was planned.

Bristol just posted what looks squarely inconsistent with what she wrote when she announced her pregnancy. She says in her latest blog post, "This pregnancy was actually planned."

Bristol -- who became an abstinence spokesperson and urged women to prevent such pregnancies -- says there's a big difference between her pregnant at 17 and 24.

It's unclear how this was a mistake if it was planned, and the regret that laced her previous sentiments is now gone. She also says she can't wait for baby #2.

The only possible explanation we can think of ... maybe she and her fiancé got pregnant in anticipation of marriage but then they broke up.

Former Subway pitchman pleads guilty to child pornography, sex charges

Quote
Former Subway sandwich chain pitchman Jared Fogle pleaded guilty in federal court on Wednesday to charges of child pornography and traveling for illicit paid sex with minors.

Federal Judge Mark Dinsmore must now review a plea deal Fogle's attorneys reached with prosecutors and decide whether to accept it. Fogle was released and must wear an electronic monitoring device pending his next court appearance.

Under the deal, Fogle would serve between five and 12 years in prison, pay $1.4 million in restitution to 14 minor victims, register as a sex offender and meet other conditions.

(CNN)One is an endangered monkey with a cheesy grin. The other is a wildlife photographer who had just stepped away from his camera.

The two are at the center of a federal lawsuit filed by PETA, which wants the crested black macaque to win the copyright of a selfie he snapped with the photographer's unattended camera.

But before we get to how an Indonesian monkey became the focus of a court case, let's recap:

Photographer David J. Slater was taking pictures of endangered crested macaques in Indonesia when he temporarily left his camera on his tripod.

Sure enough, the curious simians grabbed the camera and played with their new toy -- pushing the button and capturing hilarious selfies, including a now-famous one dubbed "Monkey Selfie" taken by a macaque named Naturo.

But now PETA -- People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals -- is suing on behalf of Naturo, claiming he is the author of his selfies.

Jeff Milam Attorney for Meadow Walker (daughter of Paul Walker)

Paul Walker’s teen daughter sues Porsche over his death in fiery crash

Quote
Nearly two years after Paul Walker’s death, the actor’s teenage daughter is suing Porsche, claiming that the sports car her father was riding in when he was killed in a fiery wreck had numerous design flaws.

An attorney for 16-year-old Meadow Walker filed a wrongful death suit Monday against the automaker, claiming the company knew the Porsche Carrera GT “lacked safety features that are found on well-designed racing cars or even Porsche’s least expensive road cars — features that could have prevented the accident or, at a minimum, allowed Paul Walker to survive the crash.”

The lawsuit, obtained by The Washington Post, said the car did not have an electronic stability control system, which helps drivers maintain control in extreme conditions. The court filing also claimed that the car had inadequate side door reinforcement bars, a faulty fuel line and a flawed seat belt system, designed so that upon impact, the shoulder belt anchor was pulled to the rear while the seat belt anchor stayed attached.

“This snapped Walker’s torso back with thousands of pounds of force, thereby breaking his ribs and pelvis, flattening his seat and trapping him in a supine position, where he remained alive until the vehicle erupted into flames one minute and 20 seconds later,” according to the lawsuit. “Absent these defects in the Porsche Carrera GT, Paul Walker would be alive today.”

These design defects, the lawsuit claims, kept the “Fast & Furious” star trapped in the car when it crashed and caught fire in Los Angeles nearly two years ago.

Walker, 40, was riding in a friend’s Porsche Carrera GT on Nov. 30, 2013, when the car crashed into a light pole and tree and burst into flames. Both Walker and his friend, Roger Rodas, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Los Angeles Sheriff’s investigators, who consulted with Porsche technicians at the time, concluded that high speeds — not mechanical issues — were to blame, according to a March 2014 report. Collision experts from the sheriff’s office determined that Rodas was driving between 80 and 93 mph on a road with a 45-mph speed limit.

“The mechanical examination revealed no pre-existing conditions that would have caused this collision,” police said in the 2014 report.

The lawsuit, however, argues that the car was going between 63 to 71 mph when it lost control, and 45 to 59 mph by the time it crashed.

Meadow Walker has not spoken publicly about the lawsuit.

Her attorney, Jeff Milam, said in a statement to The Post that she filed the suit “with great reluctance” and will not be commenting on it.

“She’s a teenage girl who is still dealing with the tragic loss of her father,” Milam said.

“The bottom line is that the Porsche Carrera GT is a dangerous car,” he added. “It doesn’t belong on the street. And we shouldn’t be without Paul Walker or his friend, Roger Rodas.”

Porsche Cars North America spokesperson Calvin Kim told CNN that the manufacturer has not yet seen seen the lawsuit and would not comment on it.

“As we have said before, we are saddened whenever anyone is hurt in a Porsche vehicle,” Kim said, according to CNN, “but we believe the authorities’ reports in this case clearly established that this tragic crash resulted from reckless driving and excessive speed.”

Porsche representatives were not immediately available to comment Tuesday.

The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages in Walker’s death.

Woman live-streams herself while 'drunk' driving

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwJpwk665Xk

Quote
A Florida woman used a live streaming app on her phone to record herself while drunk driving on Saturday, according to police.

Lakeland police received 911 calls about a possible drunk driver who was using the social media app Periscope to broadcast her illegal joy ride to the masses on Saturday.

"You hear her saying she's drunk," said Sgt. Gary Gross, Lakeland Police spokesman. "I got to tell you I was a little shocked. After 30 years of law enforcement I hadn't seen anything like this before."

As a result of the video being streamed worldwide, numerous messages on the app and personal text messages were sent to the driver asking her to stop driving before she killed someone or herself.

One 911 caller stated that the female was driving in the north Lakeland, Fla., area, but he could not provide a specific location as he was watching the streaming video live. The female driver, identified as Whitney Beall, 23, repeatedly said she was "drunk," and that she had a flat tire. Beall said several times that she was unaware of where she was.

As the caller was giving police dispatch the details from the video, the video was turned off several times and the caller was unable to provide a vehicle description other than that it was a Toyota.

LPD doesn't provide officers with access to Periscope as an authorized software tool and they didn't have the ability to monitor her actions. One officer took the initiative to download it and open up a personal account in an effort to locate the driver.

"They're like, 'What's periscope?'" Gross said. "Luckily, one of our younger officers was able to figure it out."

Officers were then able to pinpoint landmarks in the area from the streaming video and located Beall. They said she was driving a 2015 Toyota Corolla, 4-door with a flat left front tire.

Hungarian camerawoman fired after being filmed tripping refugees is suing Facebook — and the man she tripped

Quote
The Hungarian camerawoman who lost her job after a video of her tripping and kicking refugees went viral said she will sue Facebook and the man she tripped.

Petra Laszlo was filming footage of police swarming a group of refugees when a Syrian father, carrying his young son in his arms, attempted to run through a gap between her and another cameraman. Laszlo is clearly seen sticking her leg out into the path of the refugee, who toppled to the ground with his son in his arms.

In other footage filmed soon after, a wave of refugees begins running in Laszlo’s direction and she’s seen kicking both a young girl and what appears to be a teenage boy.

Laszlo lost her job at Hungarian TV channel N1TV soon after the footage became viral. She’s facing a criminal trial in December for breach of peace, The Independent reports.

Camerawoman who tripped Syrian refugees launches (likely fruitless) battle against Internet rage

Quote
There are a number of ways to establish infamy on the Internet, but almost all of them begin with a single phrase, photo or video clip. Often, it takes just one shareable link for a previously unknown individual to become a digital pariah.

Petra Laszlo learned this the hard way after she was caught on tape kicking Syrian refugees and tripping a man with a child in his arms as he fled a Hungarian camp in September. The Hungarian camerawoman, who was subsequently sacked from her position at N1TV, quickly became a symbol for Europe's harsh treatment of migrants attempting to escape the war in Syria.

While Laszlo apologized for her actions in a letter to a Hungarian newspaper later that week, there was little hope for salvaging her reputation. Enraged social media groups - among them a "Petra Laszlo Shame Wall" with over 10,000 likes on Facebook - were already dedicated to assailing her actions.

Having failed to garner sympathy in the court of public opinion, Laszlo told the Russian newspaper Izvestia on Wednesday that she plans to file lawsuits against both Facebook and Osama Abdul Mohsen, the refugee she tripped.

"[My husband and I] believe Facebook played a major role in my situation," Laszlo said, according to Al Jazeera. "It helped embitter people against me. . .It is now a matter of honor."

'Drunk' UConn Student Wants 'F--king Mac And Cheese,' Gets Arrested

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65G7KKKyM00

Quote
He'll learn. A University of Connecticut student shown berating and shoving a student union employee after being denied mac and cheese was arrested Sunday, according to outlets.

Luke Gatti, 19, of Bayville, New York, was charged with breach of peace and criminal trespass, the Hartford Courant reported.

In a viral YouTube video of the incident, titled "Drunk Kid Wants Mac And Cheese," Gatti can be seen telling the manager of Union Street Market, "Just give me some f--king bacon, jalepeno mac and cheese" and verbally abusing him. The manager tells the student, "You can't come in here with an open bottle of booze, dude. Think about it!"

He reminds the belligerent lad that he's underage and not welcome, only to be met with more insults. But one last push provokes another employee to take down the student and hold him on the ground with the manager's help until a cop arrives to cuff him.

Outlets are teaching the kid a Media 101 lesson that bad publicity is not always good publicity. Gawker called Gatti a "drunken shithead" in its headline, noting that he was reportedly arrested twice last September for run-ins with police while at UMass Amherst.

That 'attitude' has been the conversation of late around here. It even bleeds over into the what they are calling the Ferguson Effect. Which IMO, is not only the cops backing off confronting crime, but people (criminal element) being embolden to even be worse to cops knowing they won't do much.

PETA suit claims monkey holds copyright to famous selfie

Judge rules on whether monkey can own selfie photos copyright

Quote
SAN FRANCISCO -- A federal judge in San Francisco said Wednesday he plans to dismiss a copyright lawsuit filed on behalf of an Indonesian monkey by an advocacy group that claims the animal owns the rights to a famous series of "monkey selfie" photographs.

CBS San Francisco reports that U.S. District Judge William Orrick said he agreed with arguments by camera owner David Slater and self-publishing software company Blurb Inc. that federal copyright law doesn't allow animals to claim copyright protection.

"I just don't see that it could go as broadly as beyond humans," Orrick said during a hearing on a motion by Slater and Blurb for dismissal of the lawsuit filed against them in September by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals on behalf of Naruto, a crested macaque.

The judge said he will issue a written order of dismissal at a later date.

But Orrick also said he will allow PETA to file an amended lawsuit if the group wishes to do so. PETA attorney David Schwarz told Orrick he plans to do that, and said outside of court that he will study the future ruling before deciding how to revise the suit.

Ken Kratz's Letter To Steven Avery Hints At Exactly What Kratz Might've Wanted For His Book (http://www.bustle.com/articles/137527-ken-kratzs-letter-to-steven-avery-hints-at-exactly-what-kratz-mightve-wanted-for-his-book)

*Note: the comments section is spot on.

After most of America binge-watched all ten episodes of Netflix's documentary series Making a Murderer, viewers were clamoring for updates on Steven Avery's case and to hear the point of view of anyone who made an appearance on the show. One thing many enthusiasts didn't expect though, was for Ken Kratz, the Wisconsin prosecutor in Avery's case who became the series' villain, to write a book about the murder trial for the death of 25-year-old photographer Teresa Halbach. Reaffirming the negative impression America had of the lawyer, Kratz allegedly wanted a confession from Avery for his book, because a tell-all with Avery admitting that he killed Halbach would no doubt make Kratz a very rich man.

Kratz told WBAY that he's writing a book to tell the other side of the story — Halbach's side. "Finally grateful to tell the whole story," he told the local news station. He said he decided to pen a book about the case "because the one voice forgotten to this point is Teresa Halbach."

In an e-mail sent to BuzzFeed News, Kratz said he hopes to restore people's faith in the criminal justice system, as the documentary left viewers feeling like the system completely failed Avery and his nephew, Brendan Dassey. "I believe somebody needs to stand up for the cops, the courts, and the victim by telling the truth and setting forth the vast amount of evidence proving Avery's guilt beyond a shadow of a doubt," Kratz said.

Kratz letter to SA:Confess so I can write book & profit. This bloodsucking gives vampires a bad name #MakingAMurderer pic.twitter.com/yBsXOE6dhl
    — Kathleen Zellner (@ZellnerLaw) January 24, 2016

Despite Kratz's claims that his intention is to defend Halbach and her family — as he felt he did throughout the 2007 murder trial — he obviously has some self-involved motives as well. Kathleen Zellner, the Chicago lawyer that teamed up with Tricia Bushnell of the Midwest Innocence Project to represent Avery's current legal proceedings, tweeted a picture of a letter addressed from Kratz to Avery, saying that he wanted the book to include a full confession from the convicted killer who's maintained his innocence from the beginning.

The letter seems to be in response to Avery's refusal to confess and his continued theory that someone set him up for the crime. According to the letter, Kratz wrote:

Unfortunately, you only want to continue your nonsense about being set up. That's too bad, because you had ONE opportunity to finally tell all the details, but now that will never happen.

By the way, the difference between you and famous convicted murderers from the past is they told their whole truthful story to someone, who then wrote a book about what actually happened and people got to understand both sides. I was willing to do that for you... but if you are going to continue to lie about what happened between you and Ms. Halbach, I am not interested.

Kratz would have made a huge profit off the hypothetical book. Avery finally admitting to the murder would have also cleared Kratz's name, as a lot of people think he prosecuted and vilified an innocent man. Kratz even admitted that changing America's perception of him was part of his reasoning for writing a book.

"I want people to understand that, contrary to the thesis of the documentary, our criminal justice system does work," he wrote to BuzzFeed News. "And of course, in the process, I hope to restore my reputation."

2015 Kratz letter to SA: ADMIT guilt. SA didn't admit first time won't admit this time. Save stamps, still innocent #MakingAMurderer
    — Kathleen Zellner (@ZellnerLaw) January 23, 2016

The Wisconsin lawyer did tell BuzzFeed News that he would share part of the proceeds in honor of Halbach's memory, but he didn't specify who he would share the money with. Since Avery didn't cooperate with his pleas for a confession, the book will focus on what happened to Halbach and aim to convince readers of the state's case: That Avery is guilty of Halbach's murder.

It will take Kratz about four months to write the book, so you could have it in your hands this summer. There's no better pool-side story than a former prosecutor attempting to convince the nation that he didn't put an innocent man in prison for life.

Attention Yeezy fans: There is now a GoFundMe campaign to help Kanye

Quote
Kanye West baffled the Twittersphere when he claimed Saturday that he was $53 million in personal debt. But, according to TMZ, the $53 million allegedly represents West’s investment in his music and Yeezy Season fashion lines as opposed to actual debt.

Still, one Minneapolis fan decided to make waves anyway, launching a GoFundMe campaign in support of the Life of Pablo artist.

“Kanye West, prolific entertainer/fashion icon/celebrity/member of the Kardashian family needs our help!” Jeremy Piatt declared in the page description.

“Sure he is personally rich and can buy furs and houses for his family, but without our help, the true genius of Kanye West can't be realized,” Piatt added in a callback to Kanye’s recent expository tweets.

He continued: “As Kanye West has told us time and time again he is the ‘greatest living artist and greatest artist of all time.’ Great artists need to be supported financially to achieve their full potential. To quote Mr. West, ‘I am Warhol. I am the number one most impactful artist of our generation. I am Shakespeare in the flesh. Walt Disney. Nike. Google. Now who's gonna be the Medici family and stand up and let me create more!’”

While potential benefactors — such as Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg — have yet to publicly respond to West’s calls for backing, 73 humble souls have given to Yeezus as of Wednesday at 10:40 a.m. ET. Their donations have brought the total to a staggering $439, or North West’s play money.

Pizza Hut UK has also seemingly inserted themselves into the debt conversation, trolling Kanye about a part-time job.

This is a moment to actually do what he preaches. Yeah, like that's ever going to happen. Go and enjoy your round of golfing.

Rachel Dolezal Reveals She's Writing a Book About Racial Identity Controversy: 'I Don't Have Any Regrets'

Quote
One year after Rachel Dolezal made headlines for allegedly misrepresenting her race, the former Spokane, Washington, NAACP leader says she doesn't "have any regrets" with how she identifies herself.

"I'm still me and nothing about that has changed," Dolezal said during an appearance on the Today show Tuesday.

Dolezal, who was born to white parents, sparked a national debate about race and self-identification in June 2015 when she publicly revealed that she identifies "as black."

"Certainly, I feel like it's a complex issue. How do you just sum up a whole life of kind of coming into who you are in a sound bite? Those conversations? I feel like moving forward. I don't have any regrets about that," she said.

he mother of three – who gave birth to son Langston Attickus in February – says she is working to restore her life after last year's controversy.

"It's been some work to rebuild and get things back on track with life. We're doing well. Looking at some new opportunities going into 2016," said Dolezal.

Dolezal revealed she is "looking forward to getting back into racial and social justice work" with a new book about her personal experiences with racial identity.

"Race is such a contentious issue because of the painful history of racism. Race didn't create racism, but racism created race," she said.

Gene Simmon’s Wife Rips Paul Stanley (http://radio.com/2016/05/12/gene-simmons-wife-rips-paul-stanley/)

I've been a fan of KISS for most of my life and as a kid I grew up idolizing Gene. But over the last 20 years or so, he has really pushed me and countless other fans away because of his 'Holier than thou' attitude and feels the need to voice EVERY thought that comes into his mind. Not sure if you guys caught wind of his embarrassing comments regarding Prince's death as "Pathetic", but my initial response to Gene was for him to shut the f*ck up and stop moralizing his views on everyone else. It's one thing to have an opinion, but it's another thing to say that your opinion is the only one that matters. Paul Stanley did the only thing he could do and that was to apologize on Gene's behalf and he had every right to do so given that he is tied directly to Gene. Whatever he says is going to reflect on him and in this case....reflect poorly. Gene even said that once he made the comment that his own family reemed him. So I find it a bit hypocritical for Shannon Tweed to attack Paul for doing exactly what she did in private. So, both Gene and Shannon are the Douche of the Day, er, Week.....winners.

Oscar Pistorius is a depressed, 'broken man,' psychologist testifies at sentencing hearing

Quote
scar Pistorius is a depressed, “broken man” who shouldn’t go back to prison for the murder of his girlfriend, a psychologist told Pretoria’s High Court on Monday at a sentencing hearing for the athlete, who is a double amputee.

Jonathan Scholtz, appearing for the defense, said the athlete told him he had overheard the sound of a young inmate being **** in prison, and later found out the victim killed himself. He had seen the inmate’s body hanging from his doorway.

Prosecutor Gerrie Nel, who is seeking a sentence of at least 15 years, told the court the incident never happened.

Pistorius spent a year in the hospital wing of a Pretoria prison after being convicted of culpable homicide, South Africa’s term for a reckless but unintentional killing, for shooting his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, through the toilet cubicle door in his bathroom in 2013. Sentenced to five years, he was released in October and ordered to spend the remaining four years under house arrest at his uncle’s mansion.

But the verdict was overturned last year and the athlete was convicted of murder. The trial prosecution and defense were sparring in court Monday on the first day of a sentencing hearing that is expected to last five days.

Scholtz argued that Pistorius’ psychological condition had deteriorated sharply since 2014. He said the athlete was suffering from worsened depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder and agoraphobia, a condition that can include a fear of enclosed spaces. Instead of being sent back to prison, he should be in a hospital, the psychologist testified.

He added that Pistorius wasn’t psychologically fit to testify at the hearing, but that he was remorseful and guilty about taking Steenkamp’s life.

“Unfortunately, I feel his condition has worsened. He’s almost given up. One has to prompt him to get some semblance of hope for the future,” said Scholtz, adding that Pistorius was forgetful, would not remember things he had just said, and fell asleep during his interviews with the athlete

Oh God, this guy makes me sick.

Pastor Roger Jimenez

and

Steven Anderson of Faithful Word Baptist Church

Two pastors are facing criticism for comments made after the June 12 Orlando nightclub shooting that left 49 people dead. Here is some of what they said.

Quote
Following the deadliest shooting in U.S. history, a Baptist preacher stood at his pulpit Sunday night in Northern California and delivered an impassioned sermon praising the brutal massacre at a gay nightclub in Florida.

Pastor Roger Jimenez from Verity Baptist Church in Sacramento told his congregation that Christians “shouldn’t be mourning the death of 50 sodomites.”

“People say, like: Well, aren’t you sad that 50 sodomites died?” Jimenez said, referencing the initial death toll in Orlando, which authorities later clarified included 49 victims plus the gunman. “Here’s the problem with that. It’s like the equivalent of asking me — what if you asked me: Hey, are you sad that 50 **** were killed today?’

“Um, no, I think that’s great. I think that helps society. You know, I think Orlando, Fla., is a little safer tonight.”

He added: “The tragedy is that more of them didn’t die. The tragedy is — I’m kind of upset that he didn’t finish the job!”

[FBI had closely scrutinized the Orlando shooter before dropping investigation]

The sermon has drawn scorn from community leaders and others who have called it “hateful propaganda” and “bigotry.”

Jay Brown, spokesman for the Human Rights Campaign, said there is “nothing whatsoever Christian” in the pastor’s sermon.

“He’s preaching hate from the pulpit,” Brown said in a statement to The Washington Post. “His words offer no comfort to the survivors of the attack, to the family and friends whose loved ones they’ll never see again.

“And to think of the LGBTQ youth in his own church, it’s simply heartbreaking.”

Members of the LGBT community are not allowed to join Verity Baptist or attend its services, according to the church’s “What We Believe” page. It states the church believes “sodomy” — referring to homosexuality — is “a sin and an abomination before God which God punishes with the death penalty.”

[LGBT Muslims do exist, and they are grieving. It’s time for acceptance.]

“I wish the government would round them all up, put them up against a firing wall, put a firing squad in front of them, and blow their brains out,” Jimenez said during his Sunday sermon, which Verity Baptist posted on its website under the title “the Christian response to the Orlando murders.”
video

The church did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Jimenez declined to comment Monday when a CBS Sacramento camera crew showed up at his home.

Video of the sermon, uploaded to the church’s YouTube channel, was removed late Monday or early Tuesday “for violating YouTube’s policy on hate speech.” A copy of the video was later uploaded by a different YouTube user.

The sermon runs for 45 minutes and focuses on the Bible, homosexuality and the deadly rampage at Pulse, a gay nightclub in Orlando.

Hours after a lone gunman went into the club and shot and killed 49 people, Jimenez suggested that their deaths were well-deserved.

“As Christians, we should not be taking a sympathetic approach to these types of news and saying: This was a tragedy, this is something that we’re sad about, we should be mourning these people,” he said. “The Bible teaches that they’re all predators. That’s all the Bible says about them: They’re wicked, they’re vile, they’re predators. And God says that they deserve the death penalty for what they do …

“I’m not saying that we should be doing that. But in God’s government, where God set up the laws and God set up the rules and God set up the people in charge, God said: When you find a sodomite, put them to death.”

He continued:

Let me say this: As Christians, we shouldn’t be advocating the killing of sodomites. I’m not standing up here tonight and saying: Let’s go get some guns, and let’s go get ’em. That’s not what I’m saying at all. People will sometimes hear people like me preach, or other pastors, and say: You guys are advocating violence. We’re not advocating violence. We’re not saying we should go do this.

But we’re just saying this: If we lived in a righteous nation, with a righteous government, then the government should be taking them. There’s no tragedy. I wish the government would round them all up, put them up against a firing wall, put a firing squad in front of them, and blow their brains out.

If we lived in a righteous government that loved God and loved children and wanted to protect them, that’s what we’d do. I’m not saying we should do it. I’m not saying we should go, you know, blow up Planned Parenthood. I’m not saying that at all. All I’m saying is this: If God has his way, that’s what he’d do. And by the way, in the millennium, that’s what will be done. God’s laws will be reestablished.

The pastor’s sermon drew a strong rebuke from Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson.

Austin Webster, communications director for California Community Colleges, said that he was “absolutely disgusted” by the “message of hate.”

And angry commenters flooded the church’s Facebook page.

“Pastor Roger Jimenez,” one wrote, “I pray that God has more mercy on your soul than you have shown for those who were injured and murdered in Orlando this past weekend. The God I believe in, have studied and learnt about, and love dearly, would disagree strongly with what you have said, and how you have said it. I would like to strongly suggest you stand down as the Pastor at Verity Baptist Church, and go back to Bible College, spend many hours reading God’s Word, and many more hours examining your heart and soul, and praying for your Saviour’s forgiveness. I pray that God will lead you to His light and bless you.”

[This rapper might be America’s next evangelical leader]

Sandré Nelson of the Davis Phoenix coalition, a nonprofit group that works to prevent hate-motivated violence in the Sacramento Valley, told CBS Sacramento that he was stunned by the pastor’s sermon.

“He’s not a man of God,” Nelson told the news station. “He’s not a man teaching a true religion.”

Nelson said the sort of speech featured in Jimenez’s sermon can be devastating.

“It can definitely cause more harm to our LGBT youth and those still living in the closet that are older,” he told CBS Sacramento. “It causes our suicide rates to go up, it causes kids to feel like they’re worthless.”

My first thought was a Westboro ghost.

What do these congregations think of their pastor. Still following like blind sheep?

It's these kinds of pastors I think that contribute to high fallout of followers. I know it affects me and I'm not even baptist. I am a Christian and I do not understand 'hate'. I left the church for other reason's, but how does one follow, supposedly a disciple of Jesus and preach things Jesus would never do. How does that occur?

Cinemark Theaters

Quote
As we're sure you know, back in 2012, 24 people lost their lives when James Holmes shot up a theater in Aurora, Colorado during a showing of The Dark Knight Rises.

While Holmes' case has pretty much been wrapped up as he was sentenced to life in prison, attorneys for the theater chain Cinemark, where the tragedy occurred, are now shifting gears and going after the victims who tried to sue the theater — and they want them to pay for the chain's legal fees!

After the shooting took place, the families of the victims filed a lawsuit against the theater chain, saying they should have done more to prevent the attack from happening. The victims' friends and relatives ended up suing in state court, claiming that lapses in security allowed the shooting to happen!

The judge ruled in favor of Cinemark after their legal team argued that the company could not have foreseen the attack and nothing could have stopped James as he was so heavily armed. However, lawyers for the plaintiffs have suggested they might appeal the ruling.

But lawyers aren't content in protecting Cinemark from paying millions to the grieving families — they're now demanding they pay the company's legal fees of around $700,000!

Though a judge didn't immediately rule on the request, Colorado courts do allow the winning side of a case to try and recover legal fees.

SRSLY, what is WRONG with people?!

Even if the EXTREMELY successful and WEALTHY company was pissed about being sued, $700k seems like such a small amount — especially up against the millions they'll have to spend to try to fix the PR nightmare of being the company that bullied the bereaved.

Well done Cinemark. If you're going for 2016's Greedy, Insensitive Asshat award, we're pretty sure you've got a chance — though you've still got a ways to go before you catch Donald Trump! HA!

Donna Brazile

CNN Chief Jeff Zucker Rips Donna Brazile’s ‘Disgusting’ Dealings With Clinton Campaign
Network boss has “no tolerance” for tipping off a campaign with debate questions.

Quote
NEW YORK ― CNN president Jeff Zucker described former network commentator Donna Brazile’s interactions with the Clinton campaign as “unethical” and “disgusting” during a Tuesday editorial meeting, according to a source with knowledge of the matter.

Zucker’s remarks followed reports Monday that Brazile informed Hillary Clinton’s campaign in March about a question they could expect at a Democratic primary debate the following night against Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders. This was the second time last month that hacked emails published by Wikileaks appeared to show Brazile tipping off the Clinton campaign with a possible CNN debate or town hall question.

Brazile, a longtime Democratic strategist and TV pundit, served as vice chair of the Democratic National Committee through much of the 2016 election. In July, she became interim DNC chair after Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) resigned because emails published by Wikileaks showed party officials supporting Clinton’s candidacy even though the organization was supposed to remain neutral during the primary. CNN suspended Brazile’s contract at the time, but it was expected she’d return to the network after the permanent selection of a DNC chair following the election.

But WikiLeaks published an email on Oct. 11 in which Brazile appeared to send the Clinton campaign a question on the death penalty ahead of a March town hall event. “From time to time I get the questions in advance,” she wrote to campaign communications director Jennifer Palmieri. The email is one of thousands leaked from the account of Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta. The Clinton campaign has accused Russian hackers of targeting Podesta, though has not authenticated the documents being published by Wikileaks.

Networks hosting presidential debates take great pride in maintaining a cone of silence around their preparation and it’s almost unheard of for a question to reach a campaign ― never mind twice.
