I didn't even know we had salt mounds until that link. It's never been mentioned anywhere near me. I guarantee you that none of my family or friends knew it either.

22 Reasons Living In San Diego Ruins You For Life (http://www.buzzfeed.com/melissaharrison/california-burritos-for-life)

I'd love to see San Diego when it's not Comic Con time.  Seems like it would be real chill without all that pressure.  But I won't do flip flops.

But I won't do flip flops.

They won't allow people inside SD unless you show proof of Flip Flops in your possession.  ;D

I gots me some flip flops  ;D

I don't know if I told you guys, but here in St. Louis we have , in the cold and snow, people that regularly wear a coat or hoodie, cap, shorts and I've seen flip flops.

That's just messed up

King tides bring big waves, rip currents (http://fox5sandiego.com/2014/12/22/king-tides-bring-big-waves-rip-currents/)

I should head down there. It's only a 10 minute drive away. It's crazy the waves are even that big given the fact that there is no current storm or rain or anything but clear blue skies. Go figure.

Soaring ‘SkySpire’ proposed for waterfront (http://fox5sandiego.com/2015/02/04/skyspire-competes-for-waterfront-space/)

There was talk of us getting a huge Ferris Wheel at the Downtown Bay Port in an effort to create a visual landmark that would instantly connect people to San Diego all over the world in the same way that Seattle has the Space Needle, San Francisco has the Golden Gate Bridge, and so on. Well, the Wheel seems to have gotten the axe and now we are entertaining ideas of our own 'Space Needle' At first I was like "why the f*ck are we copying another city". But looking at the design, it's kinda cool. But in the end, we really don't need this as Sea World already has something similar, albeit very bland with nothing it it. Would much prefer to have a 500 foot (The) Iron Giant standing over the bay and saying "Roooooooock" every hour on the hour.  ;D

London has the giant Ferris Wheel.

You guys need to put more thought to it.

KI - By The Sea

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNsbf5bdDx0

We get a local free press town newspaper that talks about whatever there is to talk about and in the latest edition, there was an article on a local band called KI. Never heard of them or their music. But the article talked about a music video they had just shot in and around the beach town where I live. Naturally I had to check it out. The video is pretty cool and even better, I dig the song as well. Enjoy.

Good Gawd man. The song was great, the video was fun.

You suck... You are very fortunate in so many ways.

Good post.

I really like the direction of some new music today.

Dramatic before and after photos of California’s drought (http://www.relativelyinteresting.com/dramatic-before-and-after-photos-californias-drought/)

This isn't exclusive to San Diego. It's all of California and it's scary as sh*t to see before and after images of what's happening here.

I was just telling my wife about this news, last night. And this is just the beginning of Spring & Summer. This will definitely hurt our chances of retiring out west.

Must see and do suggestions in San Diego

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cI-orz88P5I

I like that CNN did a segment on San Diego, but this is only scratching the surface of what's available here. I think the reporter could and should have dug deeper than just talking about the obvious tour sites like Museums and the Zoo.

King Tide La Jolla (4K UHD)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWumCuqy0II

This is happening over in La Jolla right now. The video is from yesterday. It looks like someone got their Drone early before Christmas. As for King Tides, this is the norm for us every year. I still don't get how or why any business would think that those Wave Walls will do anything to stop mother nature. It's ridiculous because every year, those business' have to close down for major clean up and repairs. I don't have a 4k monitor, but even I can tell you this video is the best looking thing I've seen of King Tides.

BREAKING NEWS:

There is an active shooter at SD Navy Hospital right now. I know this place like the back of my hand because I had to take my Gramp's and Gram's out there on a regular basis since I was in High School. It's just weird to see this on the News. I hope people are safe and protected and the issue is resolved immediately.

It's so weird when it's someplace you know, isn't it?

Yep.

Even weirder was watching Like Father Like Son with Kirk Cameron and Dudley Moore and seeing them shoot on location for one of their scenes together. I still don't know how the producers manage to convince SDNH to allow them to film a scene there. This place is usually off limits to things like that. Go figure.

Whale Watching Boat Crashing Into San Diego Dock

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RrrDLdeL2HQ

What the f*ck! I think my p*ssed about that most people were just oblivious of that old lady walking out of the cross-hairs. It looks like that one dude at the end made an effort to get her out of harms way, but everyone else didn't do anything to help and that includes the person behind the camera. Read about the incident here (http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-whale-watching-ship-crash-video-20160401-htmlstory.html)
