Okay, I saw the trailer for Horns when it first came out and it didn't really catch my attention at all and I immediately forgot about it. Fast foward to a couple of months ago and I see that my Library has this On Order and with nothing else to add to my Hold List, I decided to get it anyway and as soon as I did, totally forgot about the movie immediately. Fast forward to today and I picked up my copy and headed home and I tried to forget about it. Really didn't want to watch it at all. This is not the kind of movie I want to watch. Horror and Supernatural isn't my go-to genre and I have to be in the right frame of mind when I do decide to watch this type of movie. So, begrudgingly, I decided to watch it anyway. Within the first 10 minutes, I realized that this isn't what I thought it would be. It's nothing like you think it is at all.

Straight up, this is a murder mystery, albeit told in the most unconventional, and wholly original way. It's definitely different and dare I say unique. I won't go into great detail about the plot because it is afterall a mystery and to do so would deprive you of one of oddest journeys you will take. Really trying to think of another movie that even comes close to this Comedy/Horror hybrid. I've heard people give the movie a thumbs down and maybe I would agree with them on any other day. But tonight, given how original it all seems and it was entertaining to say the least, it gets 4 Stars from me. Worth a Rent. Just check your head at the door and go with it. PS, it's got Heather Graham in it and that's an automatic 1 Star bump. Daniel Radcliffe is great in this. If the story is too far out there for ya, you're gonna enjoy his performance regardless.

I almost turned this on last night. I had it ordered from the library, but recently it has shown up on Netflix. I've read with interest Daniel Radcliffs long interest in the horror genre.

I instead picked out two fairly weak horror movies. 2014 The Town That Dreaded Sundown and the beautifully located, but somewhat boring mythological story of mermaids, Killer Mermaid. Neither one I'll recommend.

I do have Horns in my queue, so I will visit it sometime.

Dammit, didn't I write a review about this? I saw it. I thought about what I would say. Did I not post?

The only time I heard you talk about this movie was the previous post. Beyond that, nothing else.
