I've heard you sing plenty. It's clear where you get your inspiration from. (http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i266/Chiprocks1/Smilies/0%20All%20Smilies/new_tongue.gif)

Dianna Agron ftw!
I dig the new make-over for her. Keep it for the entire season please.

Other than Quinn's new look and attitude, this episode was flat. Only song worth anything was their remake of The Go-Go's song We Got The Beat. Looks like Lauren Zizes (Ashley Fink) role on the show will be drastically reduced this season if not all together, which would suck. She is funny.

No good songs and Quinn back to looking like her old self knocks this down to 0 Stars. Brittany, Becky and Coach Beiste knock this up to 3 Stars. This season seems more off than last season. Not sure what's going on, but my guess is they are definitely on their last breath here.

It was on because of my wife. I heard parts of it. It's definitely lost my interest.

And what I've been reading about the changes to this years season, seems polar opposite. They knew they were 'wandering' and attempting to reign in linear stories again.

on a side note, Coach Beiste has always made me think, Glee pushing the bizarre factor and dressing up a man to play a woman. Well, no, Coach Beiste is a woman with quite the career(s) - Dot (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dot_Jones)

Even after reading this... it's just weird.

If the show doesn't right itself and fast, I may finally do what I intended to do last season...pull the plug and move on.

After a couple of weak episodes to start the season, they finally got the right mix of compelling story-line's and appropriate songs that actually didn't suck. This episode was all about Mercedes and Mike, two characters that are considered to be "background" characters. So, do they make the most of their time in the spotlight?

Yup.

Mike's was interesting in that his father has basically been leading his life the way he sees it, disregarding his own son's wishes. It's not until Mike discovers that his own Mother gave up on her own dreams as a kid that he could finally share with her his own. And Mercedes...WOW! The songs that she sings here were awesome. We also learn how  Emma got so screwed up as a child. Her own parents are pretty messed up. Props for getting Donny Most (Ralph Malph from Happy Days) to play her father.

But it was the last 5 minutes of the episode that impressed me the most was with the cast singing Coldplay's song Fix You.

Pot O' Gold

Rory seems like a pretty cool character and a nice addition to the cast. I wasn't expecting him to hit those notes when he went falsetto though. Dem's high notes for sure. He even made Bein' Green...cool and appropriate. Also, it seems that Sue is finally going to have a nice story arc now that Burt Hummel is running against her for City Congressman. Just imagine all the insanity that will come from her trying to sabotage Burt and Will, who is his campaign manager. Should have some funny stuff coming our way.

The First Time

This one seemed a bit off to me. I wasn't particular fond of any of the songs, with the exception of The Warbler's rendition of Uptown Girl by Billy Joel. As for the stories...meh. I did like the scene with Coach Beiste when she was getting asked out on a date though.

I quit watching this show. I did watch 1) to be with my wife and 2) listen to songs that I might need to explore more and 3) Britney and Sue quotes. But I got bored over time. I now watch Last Man Standing and then misc stuff before Parenthood.

Last night actually confirmed not liking Glee's interpretation of rock songs, and doing Van Halen just made me roll my eyes.

I'm losing patience with this show and I really don't think I'm gonna even make it to the end of the season. The Brit and Sue quotes are all but gone. They still get them every once in a while, but they are far from memorable.

Story wise, this was one of the better ones with regards to Santana being "outed" by Finn, Pucks relationship with his teacher Shelby, and the TV Ads that Sue is using in her race against Burt. Back to Santana (Naya Rivera). I have always known Naya to be the best actress of all the kids on Glee and this episode justifies that claim. Her "apology" to Finn which turns into a full blown insult would even make Sue step back in shock..or Glee. But it's her reaction to realizing that she's just been outed and subsequent slap across the face on Finn that left me speechless. As great as these stories are, the episode is marred with two of the worst songs this series has ever produced. Their rendition of Van Halen's own Hot For Teacher was horrible. HORRIBLE! And bringing up the rear was the mash up of Hit Me With Your Best Shot / One Way or Another by Pat Benatar and Blondie was just as bad.

It's a shame that these two renditions kind of overshadows an amazing one with the Troubletones take on Adele's song Rumor Has It, which was awesome.

I quit watching but ran across this...

Star Wars' Chewbacca To Take a Bite Out of Glee's Christmas Episode (http://www.tvguide.com/News/Chewbacca-Glee-Christmas-Episode-1040485.aspx)

Some cool songs, but I'm losing interest in the show. It's just too inconsistent from episode to episode.

Meh. Most of the songs were horrible, especially that country song about a Red Solo Cup. Ugh. This episode marked the return of Sam "Trouty Mouth" Evans.
